Essence Braids & Weaves

Waited almost 3 hrs to get my hair braided and two ppl just walk in and get immediate servise without an appointment. How do i count 14 employees, and only 8 ppl getting their hair done? I was patient the first 2hrs Im just gonna go to the doobie shop. And she tried to charge $20 extra on a style advertised for less. First and last visit.

I used to come here a lot to get my hair braided because they do a good job and the braids last a long time. However, after three years of going to this shop I realized that I could probably get the same quality and same price but with better service. Their prices are decent and not expensive, however every time I come the prices seem to change. I have to constantly tell them, " I been going here for 3 years and paying $120 and now you want to charge $150". No, not happening. They are constantly crowded all the time and every time you call saying I am coming now, will someone take me once I arrive, they say yes it's not busy. Once you come in there are like 5 people waiting and 10 people in the chairs getting their hair done!

They are rude and are constantly taking breaks or arguing about something. Now as for Kayla's shop, I only been there once so I can't comment much on that. However, my experience there was decent, I got Havana twists and it started looking dry not too long afterwards. I have had better twists done elsewhere. There is usually a long wait at both Kayla's and Essence but Kayla's wasn't as crowded. If you can deal with rudeness but pay a decent price then this place is okay because they still do a good job with braids, but other than that I would go else where. The only other good thing is that they are open from 7 am until 6 or 7 pm everyday.

I have gone to this shop twice and both times my experience was very pleasant. I love the way my stylist does my hair and she is very good at what she does. I am hoping to see her in the morning on July 2.....

Last time I got braids from this place was last year sometime. One of the ladies who was at the shop,who i believe was the owner helped me find a spot by parking in the back of the shop. The person who did my hair was a young girl who keep stopping every minute to change music that was playing on her phone. It was starting to be annoying. I didn't want to stay longer then I should.When i told jer she was getting rpugh with my heas qhile doing ot and talking in her language. After i told her stop beinh rough and i wanted to get my haor done by someone else they insisted that i get my hair by her then someone else was doong my hair.smdh the end results she did a good job.

They braided my hair in about 3 hours, which is phenomenal because that has never happened before! When I got there, they had me put my name under what hair style I want and then 5 minutes later they called my name. The service was great and the ladies were nice, will definitely go back
