Endeavor House North

I would like to thank everyone at Endeavor House in Kearny for starting my son on his journey of recovery, they helped him detox off 100mg of methadone when no one else in the state of NJ would. His Counselor Jim M has gone above and beyond Thank you all!

Like others have said the staff here cares, the food could be a lot better it's a hit or miss with that the beds aren't fun to sleep on, or the pillows I've been to more comfortable Rehabs before . I like the place I just wish they could make it more comfortable for the clients

This treatment center was O.k. It isn't nice, or comfortable, and they will probably say something like "it's not supposed to be." However, after visiting multiple treatment centers as a patient after my failed attempt at sobriety from drugs and alcohol which started at Endeavor, I noticed other rehabs that are better alternatives than a run down old hospital. The staff here cares, but sometimes you need a little more than a caring staff to help someone who isn't sure if recovery is for them. I went to Florida towards the end of my journey and never knew getting clean and sober could be so much better than my experience at Endeavor house. And no, it's not the weather or the palm trees. A treatment center that is comfortable and doesn't have rubber mattresses and jail food made me a lot more willing and eager to wake up in the morning and attend the groups and the therapy. Just saying. Anyone who gives this place anything more than 2 stars has never been anywhere else. There are state run programs that are nicer than this place.
