I bought some nice flowers at an affordable price. The place does not look very nice from the outside but is very nice and clean inside and plenty to choose from.

Please believe me when I say giving Emilio's a poor rating is being generous. My friend ordered me a bouquet from 1-800-Flowers to be delivered on 1/11 (yesterday). The florist that was contracted by 1-800-Flowers to make the bouquet and deliver it was Emilio's. Yesterday Emilio's had trouble finding my house and did not call me to ask me for directions (even though they had been given my number AND detailed directions for how to get to my house by 1-800-Flowers. Also, had they followed the directions they would have found my house). As a result, they pushed the delivery back to today.
This morning I woke up to three missed calls and one NASTY voicemail on my phone left by the florist. In rude phrasing and a poor tone she said they were on my street and couldn't find my house - AGAIN (which also means they did not follow the directions given to them - AGAIN).
I called the woman back and during the course of a ten minute conversation tried to figure out: A. Why they couldn't find my house and B. Where they had tried to deliver the bouquet to that made them believe they couldn't find my house. I eventually came to figure out that they were indeed on the correct street, but had not driven down far enough (yet again something listed in the directions that they already had) to be able to find my street.
I was eventually able to explain this to the woman and get her to agree to deliver the bouquet again. But before this I had to endure about eight minutes of this woman telling me: my house didn't exist, I don't know where I live, the house where I claimed to live was nothing but a vacant lot, and even that she had spoken to neighbors living on this street for 24 years that had never heard of me.
Afterwards I called my friend who had ordered me the flowers. She was so upset she called 1-800-Flowers and they cancelled the order and contracted through another florist to deliver a bouquet to me. However, word of this got to Emilio's a bit late because they didn't get the update until they had driven down my street for a third time. And what do you know? They MAGICALLY found my house! The house that "didn't exist"! See that? Look what following directions gets you! AMAZING! So anyway, unfortunately they had to drive away again without delivering my flowers to me.
After this experience I have come to the conclusion that Emilio's Bayway Florist is not knowledgeable, incompetent, LAZY (who doesn't read the directions they're given? And if they were never given the directions who doesn't think to themselves "HMM maybe I should come all the way down a dead end street"???), RUDE, inappropriate, and has no clue on what the term "customer service" means.
A trained MONKEY could have found my house faster than you did. So what does that say about your company?
I understand that I live on a crappy/confusing street. But if they had followed directions this experience never would have escalated to the point that it did. And just because I live on a difficult street doesn't give you the right to treat me the way you did or talk to me the way you did. No one should have to experience what I did - especially while trying to receive a birthday bouquet no less!
I'm sure others will eventually write reviews stating that they had great experiences with this florist. And I'm sure they did. But I did not and in my opinion one bad experience cancels out a hundred good experiences. Maybe someone will say this florist was having an "off day"; and maybe they were, but in the business of providing a service and when customer service is so important you can't afford to be off your game not even one day - because this is what happens.
I know this review was ridiculously long but if even one person reads this and as a result decide to buy from another florist then the time I took to write it will have been more than worth it.
