He deleted everything and tried to convince me it wasn’t there in the first place. Computer had a virus and wouldn’t start properly. Was going to bring it to a big name computer store but found this place closer. Talked to him. Told him I need everything from the hard drive. 5 or 6 years of pictures, music, important documents. He said he would look at it and call me. He called and said he was very happy with the job and was able to retrieve everything. Delighted, I came home plugged it in. Everything was deleted except for some pictures belonging to my ex-room mate. He saved everything from the guest account and deleted everything in the main account. I couldn’t believe it. I had nothing left. I returned and he told me he took everything off and there was only 1 account. we opened it up together the first day and I showed him the 2 accounts. When i reminded him he tried to tell me he took everything off. Then he said the other account didn’t work. Then he said maybe the virus caused it all to delete. Changing his story every time. I asked for my $150 back and he said no. Saying, Is it fair he put so much work in and i want my money back. He didn’t do what I paid him to do. duh! He messed up but wouldnt admit it. He made me so mad and then offered me $50. So rude and unhelpful. I said "no" obviously. Even $150 isn't worth the 1000's of pictures, movies, projects, memories, hundreds of dollars work of programs and applications. As well as important documents. I asked him for a detailed report on everything he did to it but he refused and deleted the anti virus he installed just to rub it in. Don’t make the same mistake I did. I should have just driven to best buy. Also remember to save everything to external drives regularly. So basically he took $150 , wiped everything i wanted from my hard drive and tried to tell me it was never there in the first place.
