The first time I ate here was probably 30 years ago. I don't think this place has changed one bit since then and it never should. Love the old ice cream shop atmosphere. Ice cream sundaes don't get any better than this.

Feels like you're walking back in time. This place has old school ice cream soda, and vintage equipment they serve their ice cream that you may not find anywhere else, especially in New York. This is the oldest ice cream shop in New York, all the ice cream is homemade. It may feel a bit run down, but that's part of the appeal and history.

Great service. We got there 11am almost on Saturday. We were able to be seated at the booth for 5. My friend could not decide on what to do since it was his first time there. The waitress took her time and walked him through the choices. When our orders arrived, one of the guy stuck his finger slightly into my friend's pecan shake. She drank it fast since it was super yummy. The same guy came back and gave her a second shake because of the mishap earlier. We were thrilled and didn't think big deal of it earlier. Totally worth the trip.

I have been to this place a few times and they have been pretty pleasant until yesterday. The reasons for revisiting it are: to support local business and because it is so quaint. However yesterday when we walked in, we were not helped and had to wait a long time. Finally when we approached one of the helpers, who was standing around, she ignored us. So we decided to seat ourselves, we asked for a menu and another guy took our order and threw it on the table. This was very surprising and was very uncomfortable. Of course, after we were finished, we asked for our check and we did not get one, the guy just told us how much we owed and was extremely rude. I do not know if I would want to go back, as I mentioned I do not revisit the place because the ice cream is amazing, but because of my loyalty to local business.

Awesome ice cream and at a reasonable price. Friendly service too homemade ice cream and they offer numerous different flavors and vegan option! as you are waiting in the slightly slow moving line, they are making fresh waffle cones so the waffle fragrance is just stowing in the store, making you instantly want the waffle cone
