East River Ferry

We stayed about 2 blocks from the Greenpoint Pier and used this Ferry 3 times during our visit to NYC. It was so frequent, easy and fast! It costs $4 per ride. Plus, you get to be outside, watching the NY skyline during the 7 minute trip across to 34th St pier in Manhattan, instead of being underground crowded in a subway for 30+ minutes! There is a shuttle from the pier you can take into Midtown, but it's about as fast to walk the few blocks, due to traffic. We also took the ferry down to DUMBO and walked across the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan. So nice!!

Not your typical tourists' attraction, but for $4 tho it's one of the best outlook on Manhattan's skyline you'll ever get to see.
