The worst experience ever! I Waited for hours to just get a prescription for contact lenses! They asked me to go there at 2:45pm, I thought that's my appointment, but no. That was time to start to wait for 3 hours. What's the point of having the appointment? I will never get my time back! Yuky

I called in advance to have my children's eyes checked and made an appointment for "both" of them. When I arrived to my appointment (early might I add) there was only an appointment made for one of them. I walked in at 10:04 and at 11:40 was still not seen by a doctor. I was there for almost two hours with two small children. At 11:15 I asked one of the ladies how much longer the wait would be and she told me "I am about to put up your chart now, so just a few more minutes". At 11:35 I asked how many people were ahead of me and she said " I am still getting your chart together". I took my children and left. Here is a tip in customer service... If you are talking to insurance and verifying things that may cause the customer to wait longer than usual, just explain that to them. Offer an apology for the wait and it can diffuse the situation, instead of getting defensive when asked about the wait time.

Let me first warn you that this is a long review, but I hope that my experience will help you avoid being scammed.
The place itself is nice and they have a decent selection of frames, however my experience was not so pleasant. I went here for the first time to do my annual eye exam and the staff was nice and the doctor (Dr. Saysha Blazier) seemed thorough - until I was asked if I would be purchasing contacts or glasses during my visit. They have a woman who goes over your insurance information with you after the doctor sees you, which seems incredibly helpful - but it's actually a huge scam.
The woman asked if i was going to purchase contacts or glasses today after my visit, and I told her that I was going to order a year supply of contacts through a website that is in-network with my insurance (that my insurance recommends since it is MUCH cheaper). She immediately became not-so-nice anymore and told me that I HAVE to purchase contacts through them in order to go through my insurance, and if I choose not to purchase contacts there I would have to pay out of pocket for my entire visit. I have been to other eye doctors and have purchased contacts online in the past so I knew this wasn't true. I proceeded to try on a pair of contacts (which were the same pair that I already use) for the doctor to evaluate the fit.
While back in the room with the doctor, I thought I'd bring up the conversation that I had with the other woman. I explained what was said and mentioned how this seemed odd to me and that I have never experienced this type of push back before. The doctor, who was incredibly nice in the beginning of my visit suddenly changed her demeanor as well and reiterated what the other woman said.
I again asked for more information as to why I could not go through my insurance for this eye exam and contact fitting and she replied in a demeaning manor "let me try to explain this again so you can understand it" and went on to say that they were not allowed to bill the insurance for an exam unless I purchase contacts with them - which is complete bullsh*t. I told her that I would call my insurance provider and ask them to verify this information.
The doctor proceeded to walk me back to the other woman and told her "she's going to call her insurance, just so you know". I thought that calling their bluff would've been enough for them to just let me pay my copays and receive my prescriptions so I could leave, but it wasn't.
I called my insurance and told them the situation that I was in. My insurance specialist was incredibly helpful and outlined all of my benefits (which I knew already, but wanted them to reiterate them and confirm that I was in the right). The insurance representative then offered to relay this same information to the woman and the doctor who was giving me a difficult time. I offered the phone to the woman in charge of insurance information at this location and she replied saying that she is too busy to speak with anyone on the phone and that I can pay my copay and leave with my prescriptions (which is what I wanted to do all along!). I thanked my insurance specialist for their help, to which they replied "good for you for sticking up for yourself."
Long story short, if you choose to go to this location for an eye exam, make sure you know all of your insurance benefits and aren't tricked into overpaying. Expect to have to fight for your benefits as well. This place is a scam and they thrive off of uninformed customers who don't have the time to fight/call their insurance providers for back up information.

Ive been going here for years, since I was a kid. It's a long wait but worth it, doctors are nice always take their time with you. Gave me all tests needed and did extra research if seen something weird. Very nice glasses and variety, contact samples always available, free glasses repair! - karina geronimo

Worst office ever. I made an appointment and had to wait 3 hours to be seen. What's the point of having appointments if you're going to make us wait that long? Also the receptionists there don't know anything about insurance companies and gave me such a hard time with it. It's amazing, even my insurance company, who I called, was laughing at how inept the office was. The doctor was great and very caring but they have to do something about improving their staff ASAP or they will lose a lot of business.I had such a bad experience I would never go again and even told my friends to cancel their appointments there. What a waste of time
