He doesn't listen to his patients concerns, and hardly takes the time to explain results. The staff is great, unfortunately he is not.

He saved my life! His staff and interns treated me like family! He graciously accepted my insurance plan (Medicaid) when so many other docs rudely and abruptly refused my coverage. Their care was so kind and compassionate that they even provided the coordination to get me transported to and from the Palisades Medical Center ACE program.

I come from a long line of medical professionals in Florida. I have worked in bio-medical research, development for the second largest Hospice in the US, health education for some of the most prominent healthcare organizations and hospitals in West Central Florida, and in management for social service agencies serving the poor, specially challenged and under-served. I understand the complexity of healthcare and the painstaking measures to serve the public. Dr. Michael Sciarra went above and beyond to make my colonoscopy experience comprehensive, painless, kind and comfortable. He and his staff are angels! His leadership is masterful. His compassion is heartwarming.

No one wants to hear that they have cancer. Don't put off that routine colonoscopy! Shame on me. I knew better than to wait! Despite the dismal news that they found a large tumor that had to come out immediately following my colonoscopy, Dr. Sciarra knew what to do, how to treat it and how to make me and my family feel like his family when facing such a diagnosis.

Another miracle, is that he personally escorted me into admissions along with his staff to be sure I would be immediately treated without having to go home, worry about the prognosis or impending surgery. Or, go through the preparation again to cleanse my system.

He ordered my CT scans the night before the surgery to see what other risks might be involved in my tumor and the possibility of it spreading. He streamlined my care with an excellent surgeon and team and the most outstanding oncologists...and even an amazing consultation with the nutritionist.

He made certain that I followed up with all of my doctors within the seven days following my surgery. He is amazing! You never know how fragile life is, until you experience the "C" word. Cancer and prevention are important in the aging process, no matter your genetics or healthy lifestyle measures. It can happen to all of us. Don't put off your colonoscopy!

Today, I am off to get a Pet Scan and meet with my oncologists prescribed by Dr. Sciarra. He said it simply and efficiently, "give yourself every opportunity you can to get rid of any lurking or microscopic invaders that may have entered your system during the period in which you grew your tumor." So, how do I feel about Dr. Michael Sciarra? Blessed, comforted, and hopeful for a long and enduring life.

God bless this wonderful doctor and his team of caring angels! They care!

The doctor is ok but the office staff are very complicated. They hate received phone calls and they are annoying when we call to the answering service. His staff never know anything.
