Dr Edward S Rubin MD

Dr. Rubin has many resources and procedures to execute a safe pain treatment plan for any disease. He works with orthopedic surgeon's patients, but treats a myriad of different pain problems- Anywhere from arthritis to fibromyalgia to post-op recovery. His website features many of his methodologies on pain management and displays an array of his specialties, like high-power laser sessions for joints. He does treat pain management, depending on the case, with prescription meds, epidurals, and cortisone injections. However, like most good doctors, he carefully controls and regulates his patients scripts and asks for random drug testing to make sure you are not harming yourself or doing anything illegal. He is one of THE BEST doctors on Long Island and I happened to know about him by chance. His staff is AMAZING! Extremely friendly! I actually love going to my appointments even though I'm in pain because I know I'm going to be treated the best and be thoroughly taken care of. He also has categorized lists of doctor recommendations through his contacts at Winthrop and LIJ. I was seeing him for muscle pain issues and then got diagnosed with a rare arthritis that I didn't even know if he would know about, but HE DID being the super-intelligent, up-to-date doctor he is. He is now managing my pain for the arthritis and performing a procedure to help long-term for the pain I will have while fighting this disease. He also has an acupuncturist he has worked with since he was in his residency that offers not only traditional acupuncture, but facial rejuvenation acupuncture and microcurrent therapy for pain. Overall, I can't say enough good things about Dr. Rubin and his practice. I should have gotten to him sooner!
