Pretty shocked by these 5 star reviews. I would check out Yelp's reviews for a more accurate portrayal of Dr. Doolen, Marlene, and the way they run their establishment.

“Trust” is what this exceptional team can offer. It’s without question that Dr. Doolen is an honest professional and has exemplified his passion to helping myself and many others. Not only was I satisfied with my examination, he offered more and provided me eye care education for my future. In selecting my glasses, Marlene was unique and at her best as always. She extended herself and knew exactly which model, size, color, and fashionable look I was going for. Perfect team all around!!!

I've been going to Dr. Doolen for about 5/6 years now. I like that they have two different locations because it gives you more flexibility depending on your schedule and where you happen to be when you need to make an appointment. This past visit was my first in Union and while I was waiting (not long) I noticed that two different patients who were there had broken their glasses and the staff was able to help those two without causing a delay to the waiting/scheduled customers. That's nice to know that they go out of their way to help when you are in a bind. The staff in both offices are friendly and the offices in great locations being in the heart of downtown Verona and Union.

When it comes to your health, you try to get the best doctor possible so why not do the same for your eyes? After so many unpleasant experiences at the "highway" eye places over the years, we were elated to find Dr. Doolen and Marlene at Verona Opticians. They are very knowledgeable and professional in each of their respective areas of expertise. Don't be fooled by the low advertised prices at the other places. By the time you get done there, either you have received a sub-par exam, purchased something you will not be happy with or you have been upgraded to a much more expensive pair of glasses.

In contrast, Marlene takes the time to explain all options available regarding exams and glasses, and is very upfront about the cost. You are never made to feel that you should purchase something that you don't want. Personally, I hate picking out frames. However, each time I purchased glasses from Marlene, I ended up going with what she first suggested. Yes, she is that good!

Yes, you will pay more by shopping at Verona Opticians; but quality costs more than crap.

This is a small local business that we love to support and they are now like part of the family to us. I strongly urge you to consider Verona Opticians for your entire family's eye care needs.

Great doctor! Super caring! The staff is amazing, from the minute I walked in I was greeted with large smiles. They were super helpful in helping me pick out my glasses. So welcoming and helpful I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Even if I were out of state, I'd still make the trip back yearly to get my exam done at Verona opticians! Highly recommend
