Dr. Anatoly Bartov, DMD

Dr. Anatoly Bartov is the best dentist in Brooklyn; maybe even in all of NYC. Very caring, knows what he is doing, and uses state of the art technology. Don't let the size of the place fool you. I used to love going to him when I lived in Brooklyn. Unfortunately, I have moved out of NYC, but would definitely go to him if I ever visit NYC again; even if I would have to pay / instead of using insurance. His service is unmatched. Very professional. He will not do any unnecessary work, and if you want to know what he is going to do, and why, just ask him. He will explain. Five Stars ***** Excellent Dentist !! He was my dentist for over a year. Best experience I have ever had as far as dentists are concerned. I used to hate the dentist, but loved going to him.

Switched dentists because my previous dentist tried to rush through a procedure and made me uncomfortable. Luckily, my friend recommended Dr. Bartov to me. He took his time, explained the procedure to me in detail for longer than I expected and made me feel relaxed. I could tell he is very diligent about his work. The office is very clean and has up to date technology. I rarely write reviews, but it's the least I could do for the amount of care he put into my teeth. Probably the best doctor visit I've ever had.

In history, the most criticizing reviews are written while experiencing discomfort, and/or shortly after the activity in question has occurred. Therefore I am writing this review approximately 1 hour after I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled.

Dr. Bartov is very knowledgable, professional, trustworthy, and caring. These are the highest compliments I can pay a dental practitioner. The first time I entered his office, approximately 2 weeks ago, I was nervous and stressed about an odd sensation (loose front teeth feeling) I was experiencing shortly after a dental cleaning with a previous practitioner (it was such a nightmare that I sought out a second opinion only a month after my dental cleaning). I explained my situation and elaborated upon what the other dentist told me (they wanted to change 5 of my filings ASAP because they were supposedly forming new holes). Within 5 minutes Dr. Bartov put me at ease, explaining where the error in judgement may have occurred on the part of the previous dentist. He told me that changing these fillings is unnecessary, and that he will keep an eye on them in future visits. This made me happy, as I was doubting the previous diagnosis. As for my "loose teeth" situation, he explained that this is something some people go through and that if I take care of my teeth properly and wear a retainer I will be able to keep my nice smile for decades to come (his explanation was much more detailed). In that same visit he molded my retainer and I was sent home, feeling much happier. I returned a week later to pick up my new retainer, and again I was shown individualized attention and care. As this was a delicate item they made certain that everything fit right. During the consultation he showed me the molds of my teeth and explained why my bottom teeth have become crooked over the past couple of years. With his assistance I realized that it would be best to remove my top wisdom teeth so that this doesn't occur with them as well (that would be a lot more visible). I just returned from this extraction and I can say I am feeling good about my decision and the procedure itself. Dr. Bartov understood that I was very nervous about having my teeth pulled (traumatic experience in adolescence, and haven't had teeth pulled in over a decade), and helped me stay relaxed throughout the short and painless procedure. Very well done, in my opinion.

Bedside manner: 10 out of 10
Would I recommend him? I already have to most of the people I know.

P.S To those who hate dentists that recommend unnecessary procedures, don't worry Dr. Bartov is not one of them.

I've been going to see Dr. Bartov for a while now and I only have positive experiences. He is very professional and spends as much time as needed to go over any concerns that I may have. I had some preventative and cosmetic work done at the office with spectacular results. Very satisfied, good job doctor and thank you.
