Located off Tompkins Square, this place offers a nice place to rest in the East Village. The selection of tapas and pintxos is simple but diverse. No frills and plenty of taste. Nothing better than a glass of Malvasia from the Canaries and Basque delicatessen salchichon.

This place was really disappointing after getting a glowing recommendation for the cocktails and food. Something has clearly gone wrong recently. We waited over 20 mins to get a drink with others being served around us. The cocktails were made from batch mixes and were unremarkable (we later learned that the bartender had left). The jamon was dried out and overpriced. A baby squid was served cold and tasted rancid. Even by tapas standards the portions were tiny and pricey, but we were thankful so we could leave. Despite this, the place had all the makings of something much better. They need to sort their service out and get someone to tend bar then look at their food again.
