Freshest sushi ever. And I paid for it

Pure comfort food delight at a good price featuring over 18 hand roll options. At $30, the hand roll course makes a satisfying meal for most and the hojicha pudding with toasted rice really finishes off the meal on a high note.

A fun and satisfying meal. I had the Sushi & Handroll course, and the fish was fresh and flavors well balanced. You can go as a couple and sit at the counter, but it's fit for group dinners as well. The only downside was the price, a little steep in my opinion, but it's to be expected from a sushi bar in the city.

We got the sushi and handroll course for $45. The sushi was so bad. It was fishy and chewy. I'm giving 3 stars solely on the handrolls which were really good. The salad and oysters were also meh.

I really enjoy Haru because it's a nice atmosphere with nice people. The sushi is good but there are a lot of places in the union square/gramercy area that are the same if not better and much cheaper. I usually leave haru a little hungry because I don't want to spend 18 on a specialty roll.

Solid restaurant though and good if you are looking for something that comes off as a little more "upscale" than some of the more casual spots around
