I called for a price for man's haircut. I was told $37. I asked "how much for beard cut, a barber". I was told "you ask too many questions. I'm not sure you are the customer." And hung out on me.

Roger gave me a great cut as well as an hour of entertainment. I will return for another on my next trip!

DJ Hair Salon is legit!
Al gives a good cut for the men and Roger handles the female clients...
great guys, great cuts, great service.
best place in FiDi for a cut.

I love this place. I have been having Al cut my hair since 2007. I moved to Florida for a year, got one haircut down there, and then would come back to NY and get my haircuts (since my family is here, I was back often enough to wait out my haircuts). I have referred multiple friends here, and they all are repeat customers as well. Al does a great job cutting my hair and giving me a fresh shave as well.

I've been coming here since 2007 and will come back for another 5 more if I still live anywhere in Manhattan. These guys are great. Roger (Italian / Brazilian / Argentinean) is best if you have longer hair (guy) and Al is best for those who short cuts.
Reasonable price haircuts and products too.
Check out their Christmas party week as well.
