Their heroes cannot be beat for the price. 2 people can eat for $10 or less. I've never had a bad sandwich here although I do prefer bread with a chewier crust.

Don't get me wrong, the sandwiches are phenomenal and I still eat here a lot. But I cannot tell you how many times I have gone in there anywhere between 1-4 pm (aka WELL before their closing time) to have them tell me they are out of bread or "just done for the day." How the hell do you run out of bread at a sandwich shop so consistently? You have one job... its to make sandwiches.... and those typically require bread!

3pm on a Friday - they announce to the next in line "sorry, we're out of bread." no explanation, no time reference for when they will have more bread or any alternative. We drove 20 mins out of the way on our trip back to Brooklyn. Disappoint!
