I think in superlatives when I think of Debra Kling and her gift for working with colors.I found Debra on Houzz along with many wonderful photos of her work that were aligned with my vision for transforming our outdated space into a home that would be warm and inviting again. One of the things that stood out was the juxtaposition of colors in the same and adjacent rooms--ranging from more traditional to very eclectic-- and they all looked great! The most important consideration for me was to find someone who would treat my small, Cape Cod-style house with the same respect and care that they would a larger home. Debra is responsive, engaged and committed to listening to the client while still infusing a project with her expertise and experience. She helped with wall colors and wood floor stain colors and she remained available, helpful and extremely pleasant during a few anxious "emergency" moments once the painting started. She is also working with us on the next phase, providing post-transition interior design ideas. We now have a home that we are excited about again and truly represents our sensibilities. With the perfect color and a re-imagined purpose, she also managed to change the worst-looking room in the house into our new "go to" space!"

I hired Debra Kling on an hourly consultant basis because I admired several stunning fabric and paint color choices she had made in the home of a dear friend of mine. So far Debra has helped me 1) choose paint colors for my living room, dining room, hallway, study and master bedroom 2) select wallpaper for a bathroom 3) select four new armchairs, two new end tables, two throw pillows and a large oriental rug for my bright new living room 4) design an area rug for the guest bedroom 5) select a mirror for the entryway 6) select carpeting for the stairs and upstairs hallway. Before working with Debra I had never worked with a designer. Debra was flexible, professional, focused, instructive and enormously helpful to me. She used our time together efficiently and worked diligently with many of the preexisting elements in my home--artwork, draperies, beloved furniture--to create genuinely beautiful rooms, one after another. The transformation in our home is dramatic--from quite traditional dark navy blues and forest greens to subtle sophisticated golden greens and silver grays. I am delighted with my newly luminous home and our work together.
