I showed up at the facility without any appointments, but the stuff gladly fit me into their schedule and I really appreciate it. That's the only positive thing I can say about the place. I was planning to get hitched in a week, so I didn't have any time for alterations, but at the same time I didn't want to end up with ANY kind of dress just because I was in a rush. I went in with a budget of $500 (because i was going to get married on the beach, so the dress would get trashed anyways) and I knew that I wouldn't get that dream dress, but I was expected at least to feel special. But all I experienced was the pressure to get the dresses that I didn't even like. Being from another country and not having any family members here I really wanted my fiance's mother to see the dress and when I informed the person who was "helping" me that i'd like for more people to see it, she told me "can't you just take a picture and send it to them? The dress might be gone tomorrow and you will be left with limited choice". That was the moment when I really felt sick to my gut, because they really made it all about the money, not your special day. It made me never want to deal with big companies like this again. The next day i went into another store and picked a gorgeous dress for half a price without any hassle.

OMG! PARAMUS! IT WAS A TOTAL JOKE. Okay, let's start it this way... I went there yesterday (Wednesday without having an appointment). To even find their location you have to get super lucky or you'll make 3 u-turns just like me (I'm from NY). Finally, after 40 minutes we got there with my fiance and my sister (thank Go I had her with me). I didn't make an appointment because first of I didn't plan of going to David's Bridal this Wednesday, and second thing was I really did not need the whole family and friends with me so this whole fashion show with stage and whistles was really unnecessary for us. We just wanted to find some dresses for less than $300, that's all (I'm gay, me and my fiance are both wearing dresses). Okay, so when I finally got there we started looking. Downstairs most of the dresses were bridesmaids ones so we went upstairs that has this more "bridal" section. First, when we got to the floor we heard from some woman working there that we "can't be here unless you have an assistant so let me ask somebody if they can assist you"- okay...? We waited for 5 minutes, the woman came back and said we can look but can't touch anything because they're selling the dresses straight from the floor- are you seriously telling me I can't touch anything? What am I 5? Okay, we started looking, my sister joined us and we totally ignored "do not touch" policy because I'm sorry but if I'm spending money on my wedding dress I need to see it, no? We started looking but I didn't see anything my size (2), so my sister spotted a woman in her 60's sitting at the desk, and decided to ask her where can we find dresses we saw on their website that were on sale. I don't know the name of the woman because she didn't bother to introduce herself but instead she immediately started giving us unbelievable attitude- how anybody even dare to ask her any question. She said "I don't have any of those dresses!! You need an appointment to try it on anyway!!!!". We said we don't need this whole show, we just want dresses, and we're not even having a big wedding so that whole thing is really unnecessary. My sister ask her if they have any dresses in a range of $200-300, and she finally showed us one rack with an extreme attitude. She was literally like the grumpiest grandma you can imagine from some comedy show that just yells at you for saying "hello". But let's continue... She told us we can choose 3 DRESSES. My fiance found 4, I found 6 so we decided to try 3 each first, and then the rest because that's what you normally do, no? The woman flipped when she saw we're carrying more than 3, she tried to take them away and almost ripped one dress because the satin got stuck with some zirconia, I was just looking at the woman, my sister said "stop, wait,look what you're doing" to the woman and she yelled "well that's why I said 3 only!!!!". We explained we understand but we really need to walk out with dresses today. She yelled: "she can't take 9 dresses from here!!!! Only 3 I said!!! Who's getting a dress finally??!!!!!!", and we said we both are, and she just rolled up her eyes, then finally gave us 3 dresses each, and decided to hold the rest for us like it was the hardest thing in the world. We tried dresses, made a final decision and walked out happy only because we really loved our choice, not because of their customer service. I know that normally my sister would yell at the woman, ask for the manager and contact the better business bureau right the way but we really needed to find something, that's the only reason she was nice to this woman even though she was unbelievable rude and unprofessional. If you don't care and you know you'll take people like her as a joke- go ahead and visit Paramus, but if you're sensitive, and you think everybody will treat you there right- STAY AWAY!!!! I could not believe what happened to us, and we couldn't stop laughing about it at home but really you should go anywhere but there- the horrible reviews here are true!!!! I don't know how is this possible that they still have clients at this store.

let me start by saying i don't normally write online reviews but I am still so sore about my experience that I must share with anyone who is thinking about shopping at the Davids Bridal in Paramus. The consultant that I was assigned seemed nice, and helpful however i realized after trying on several gowns that she was kind of controlling what I tried on and we were getting away from what I really went in there to get. In the end I purchased an $800 gown on special order from the catalog that was not available in my size to try on. I was ASSURED that while the store does not give refunds, if I wanted to exchange the dress there would be no issue. When the dress arrived, i came to the store to try it on and i was stuck in a dressing room on the main level to try the gown on alone. I was expecting to be brought upstairs like the first time to try the gown on in front of the mirrors and pedestal in the center of the room. That wasn't the deal. So i tried the gown on and hated it. I took it home and tried it on again, and still hated it. So when i contacted the store to talk about and exchange or store credit, i could never once get anyone on the phone to acknowledge me. I called and called and left message after message and no one would help me. If they don't want to take back merchandise they should say so. Not ASSURE me that buying a dress that i couldnt see in real life out of a catalog is a great idea because I can exchange it if i dont like it. I ended up not getting married as soon as I thought and having to sell the dress on ebay for $300. ALSO, WHILE THE STORE WONT GIVE YOU A REFUND- BUYING OFF OF THEIR WEBSITE YOU CAN RETURN FOR A FULL REFUND WITHIN 14 DAY PERIOD - I BOUGHT A SAMPLE ONLINE AND RETURNED WITH NO PROBLEM. IF I KNEW THAT BACK THEN I WOULD HAVE TRIED THE DRESS ON IN THE STORE AND WENT HOME AND ORDERED IT ONLINE!

Horrible customer service. Do not purchase anything from David's Bridal. They are very unaccommodating and rude. If you don't pick up your merchandise with in 1.5 weeks its considers abandoned merchandise?! They also told me I would be able to tailor it there as well. When I went to make the appointment they didn't have any dates available with in my time frame. When I purchased the dress I let them know I would need to have the alterations done about 2 weeks before the event date since I am 8 months pregnant, the sales associate assured me that wouldn't be an issue. When I went to make the appointment they can not accommodate it.

I had reservations about going in to Davids since it seems like they get mixed reviews online, but contrary to some of the reviews below, the consultant that was assigned to me, Ashlee P., was very helpful and friendly. She made me feel welcome and didn't rush me during our appointment. She pulled some dresses off of my favorites list from their website as well as some suggestions of her own. She listened to my likes and dislikes and eventually we did find one dress that I really liked and was well below my budget. I didn't end up buying it and went with a dress at a different store that I loved more later that day, but I did have a good shopping experience at this particular Davids.
