CVS Caremark

I have had nothing but a big fat nightmare. I have been trying for 10 days to get prior approval for a medication my son with Down Syndrome has been taking for years. And now the pharmacy people / administrators want to have him try other medications. This is a medication for focusing. It is not a choice of an antibiotic. We've tried the other meds! They didn't work or had strange reactions. This one works. He is a junior in high school and I am not willing to try out other drugs when this has been working fine. Plus this is the one the dr prescribed. Who are you to change it!!! He has been out of medication now for 5 days while the urgent appeal the doctor faxed over Friday still lies in limbo. I have spoken to "resolution representatives" a number of times. The only company where if you try to call them directly you cannot because you need an extension and they do not have an extension so they hang up on you. I would switch from you this minute if I was able too. Your company doesn't care at all about the consumers. Horrible! I'm going to contact all the media outlets in NYC and explain the "wonderful" experience I've had with CVS CAREMARK. Thank you for absolutely nothing!!! Good thing he can't die from this.
