- Terrible #51261
We purchased a 2003 Saturn vue and Omar told us the car was great and had no issues. Two days after we bought the car, it stopped accelerating. These people are liars and don't care for the safety of their customers as long as they get to make money. Our personal mechanic said the car had been tempered with and it was dangerous to drive. Our personal mechanic also said he couldn't believe someone would sell a car that would put our lives at risk. These people are not honest and took advantage of the fact that it was our first time buying a used car. Stay away from that dealership!

I wrote this review 2 years ago, and had it sitting in my email. Posting my well documented experience with Crown Motors LLC for ALL to read.

(Thursday June 21st 2012) Called Rowland to confirm that car was still there and to inform him that I was still coming to purchase. I inquired about buying a warranty with the car and he assured me that buying insurance with this car would be me ‘wasting my money’.

(Friday June 22nd 2012) Took Car for Test Drive – Car skidded out and crashed into sidewalk, air bags deployed and the passenger and I sustained impact to head.

Car skidded due to wet and oily tires – Rowland (Crown Motors Mechanic) acknowledged it was his fault due to the fact that he had just washed the car in the oily garage and left tires wet and oily. He said he forgot to run the car in the dirt so tires can gain traction back.

Called Rowland after crash and told him that the tires went haywire and caused the crash he asked if the car could make it back, as it was only approximately 50 yards away from dealership, I told him I believe so and proceeded to drive the car back to Crown Motors cautiously.Upon returning the car to Crown Motors after crash into sidewalk, Rowland took a look at the car and said everything seems intact, and that the only thing I need to get fixed are the air bags but other that that the car sustained no damage and was good to go.He then called the owner, Ahmed, and informed him of the situation and asked him what to do; Ahmed told him to knock $200 off the price.

(Saturday June 23rd 2012) I took car to a mechanic in the NY area I was staying and they gave me a diagnostic. Informed me that the overheating may be coming from the thermostat, and if not it is definitely the head gasket being blown. I called Rowland right after they informed me so that he could advise me on what to do, and he said they may be correct, and to go ahead and take out the thermostat. Taking out the thermostat cost me $100. It revealed that the problem was not the thermostat but that the head gasket was blown. Those mechanics told me that I was sold a ‘bad’ car and need to ‘take it back to the dealership and have them fix it or return my money’.

(Saturday June 23rd 2012) Rowland told me to call him Sunday, June 24th 2012 around 12:30pm so he could make his way to the cars location and take deduce the problem.

(Sunday June 24th 2012) Called Rowland 5 times, He failed to pick up his phone and never showed.

(Monday June 25th 2012) Called Crown Motors spoke to Rowland and he said he was sick, and that is why his phone was off, also told me he had to go to the doctor so he would not be at the dealership for much longer. When I told him the nature of the car problem, he said the he would have to wait for Ahmed to come back from vacation on July 2nd before he could even do anything with the car.

(Tuesday June 26th 2012) Called Crown Motors, Ahmed’s son, Omar, told me that his father would not be back until around the end of the week.

(Wednesday June 27, 2012) Sister calls Crown Motor; They informed her that the owner will be back Monday.

Overheating problems started Friday night – the same day I brought the car. Caused me to miss a day of work, as I work in a different state and was suppose to drive the car back Sunday night. Without my car I was unable to make it back to DC until Tuesday June 26, 2012. Also, not having an operable vehicle made getting to my University to handle business, impossible. I could not drive to Georgia to get my vehicle inspected, tagged etc.

Rowland nor Ahmed (The Owner) informed me that the car would not pass inspection with airbags deployed. Nor did they inform me that replacing the air bags would cost me a few thousand dollars, as I researched afterwards.

Terrible car company. GO THE OTHER WAY FOLKS. Do not make a $3,000 mistake like I did.
