I purchased 8 patties this afternoon, 4 chicken and 4 beef. To my dismay they was greasy, the meat did not fill the pattie and they broke into pieces upon touch...Shame on you for not doing a better job..NO comparison to Allan's AT ALL!!!!!!

Everything in this shop tastes like my childhood. Authentic Hardo Bread, that if you turn up at the right time is fresh out the oven and needs nothing on it to be delicious. The Vanilla cake with that layer of Pineapple filling and the icing that makes me happy for no particular reason. Get the bread sliced for you if you are like me and will just hack at it if left on your own...the coconut slice and currants roll are must try items...

Oh my gosh the bread is good!! The inside is soft and smooth and tastes oh-so-delicious, and the crust is so perfectly crisp yet yielding to my teeth as they sink in... Absolutely the world's most perfect bread. And be sure to eat it while it's hot.
But be warned, the stuff is dangerous. My wife and I always promise we'll practice moderation, then always end up wolfing down a whole loaf during the 15-minute drive back to her parents' place in Prospect Park South! Good thing we live out of town, or we'd be a couple of porkers...
