COMMUNITY EDUCATION COUNCIL DISTRICT 20

It is unfortunate that I had such an awful experience here today but it needs to be shared in hopes that the 2 security guards working the desk today at the superintendents office at 1:20 can be spoken to or reprimanded. I asked if I could leave my stroller at the bottom because I do not rise elevators. I do no ride elevators because I have a special needs son and if it happened to get stuck he would not be able to understand this and all hell would break loose. I have been stuck in elevators 3 times so I know it happens. The easy solution would have been for one of the TWO sitting there to simply ride it up and move on with it. Instead what happened was absolutely abusive and disgusting. I was told to carry it up 3 flights of stairs along with carrying my 35lb child. I made it very clear I was there for a meeting on special needs school so you would think they would have been more understanding that perhaps something more was going on. I was told I was ignorant (not even sure how this had anything to do with the situation at hand and hopefully he will learn the correct definition). The man also said to the woman not to waist her breathe on me not that she was trying to help all she was doing was telling me she would call the supervisor to explain the rule which I made clear I fully understood. They were extremely aggressive towards me almost as if they were looking for an altercation or reason/excuse to exercise their most amazing skills as a security guard. In other words they were clearly on a power trip and took it out on a woman and her special needs child. This man and woman should be reprimanded for their behavior so no further parents have to experience this. This should never have been an issue.
