Reviews to Clarke Auction Gallery
Clarke Auction is a great resource for Westchester. Who needs the Antiques Roadshow when there is their Walk In Wednesdays. Once a week anyone can bring in mystery treasures to be identified. It's so much fun! The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I had a great experience. And if I decide to part with my treasure I know they will do a great job auctioning it for us.

I've bought about a dozen pieces of furniture from Clarke over the years, was always treated well, and am recommending them without hesitation. There is always at least a handful of really interesting items in a sale and sometimes more... Nowadays it's even easier to register and bid online which makes the auction process much more convenient.

I have used Clarke Auction for many years as both a buyer and a seller with great success. I have always gotten great results with my items and I always recommend them. Their professionalism and knowledge make selling with them very efficient and easy. I always bring my items to them first because I know they will achieve the best prices. They also have a great staff with expertise in a wide range of categories. It is always fun and exciting to work with them and I am happy to work with them for all these years!

Have had many good experiences at Clarke Auctions in Larchmont, N.Y. I have sold paintings, sterling and jewelry and was satisfied with the quick payment and the amount of money I received. I have also bought Persian carpets and furniture. Always happy with my purchases.
Fun auction to go to. I would recommend this

Mr. Clarke came into my upstate house, grabbed all the oil paintings on the walls of a capacious house, grabbed a large 18th century French schoolhouse table bought from Pierre deux many years ago, a freshly reupholstered matching carved mahogany set of rocker, armchair and settee and a few other things -- did not give me an inventory of what he chose in his hasty run thru the house (with helpers) and scheduled the auction on -- Superbowl day, in February. He did not invite me to the auction or hold it on a closed circuit. I have no idea if he had any attendance or if he just bought everything in at ridiculously low prices to sell at his retail facility. He apparently did not sell a carved Italian marble copy of a 19th century Stuttgart monument of Ariadne and the Panther, and I asked that it be returned. It was promptly. I received a sketchy report, a very small check. I do not recommend Mr. Clarke or his auction.
