While we were passing by car on April 26th,2016, my mother took a glance at the "CityMD" sign on Broadway
and we eventually got interested (out of curiosity) in knowing about our in-depth health through a blood test. Our family (especially my grandmother) insisted on us to confirm with blood tests our health.
CityMD (with facilities in bountiful locations) is a walk-in clinic with hasty results. For each visit, they randomly assign the patient with diverse medical employees. The waiting room is vast and there are clear view glass partitions where the patients can see pedestrians walking in the street. We filled out health medical questions papers that were fastened on a clipboard and the secretaries were
approachable.
At the moment, an assistant announced both of our names and we were shown a room where a proficient lady Seka (audibly heard but not necessarily written as named) took our
blood pressure and oral temperature. Melissa a devoted nurse
drew separately our blood. Brian (a brisky assistant from Hong Kong)
queried us with health questions which he nimbly typed into a computer.
He declared to us that he liked our formal manner of dressing
and my mother complimented the lightweight flexible technology
of his sneakers as well as I did too.
Promptly, we were saluted by the felicitous PA Joshua Sugay (whom also appeared to be of Asian heritage). We explicated which tests we desired and he suggested others as well. The tests performed are as follows:"Labs= Anemia/Iron Panel,Routine Panel,TSH,Vitamin D 25,Vitamin B12,Procedures=Venipuncture,Routine." He said we looked healthy -nonetheless, that we will know by the labs the outcome.
At the end of the visit one of the secretaries said "I could keep the CityMD pen". I willingly rated "CityMD" on a survey at the frontal desk.
Early morning, on the next day of April 27th, our phones were
ringing constantly thus rousing us all up from our sleep.
I spoke to a woman doctor from lab results and she was frankly
concerned and informative. She divulged to me, she had 911 on the line
in case we did not answer the telephone. She explained that both
my mother and I had life-threatening Anemia (mine was worst with a
hemoglobin count of 3) -she instructed us to rush to the hospital emergency room for blood transfusions.
Rapidly we dressed, ate breakfast to nourish ourselves and were driven by car to the hospital.
My mother and I were admitted to the same hospital where
we stood for two days and each of us received two bags of
donated blood transfusions and iron pills. After being discharged from the hospital I had many issues with my blood including thrombocytosis,polychromasia(blue-like cells), misshaped cells,etc... -but, in every month my blood test results fluctuated and my hemoglobin miraculously rose speedily and I no longer am
anemic. Nonetheless, our health condition vary due to circumstances
and situations.
At "CityMD" the staff Kunal S. even e-mailed me to take "VitaminD 2000 iu daily for one month and repeat with pcp." Sameer sent me my blood lab results via e-mail when I on the hospital bed responded to my cell-phone and affirmed for him to deliver it at my email.
"CityMD" are a life-preserving team! Congratulations!
