I only put 1 star becuse I had to put somethign in order to publish. My experience is much like the others. We purchased a car and was told it was in "excellent" condition, despite some body damage. We were even told "I would put my mother in this car". Well he must not think too much of his mother. The check engine light came on and he said he would fix it. We brought it to his mechanic and 3 days later it came on again. Tried going throught the warranty company but SURPRISE, the issue wasn't covered. We then took it to anothe mechanic and it cost over $1000 to fix it. Then we get a notice in the mail saying this car had a recall that hadn't been addressed. And then another light comes on. We called Ford and it wasn't one recall, it was five recalls that were never addressed. Turns out some of the repairs we made, could have been easily fixed with the recalls. Anyway, it doesn't end there. Since the recalls, we have been very meticulous with the maintenance. And then last night, the car started to smoke. No warning lights or anything. Had it towed this morning, turns out we may need a whole new motor. Needless to say, it would probably be cheaper for us to get a new car, but we're still paying off the personal loan we took out for this one. Never again will I buy a car from this place.

Terrible experience. I bought a car from him 3 months ago. He said that it was in perfect condition. He even showed us the paperwork from the auction stating that nothing was wrong with the car. We purchased a cheap warranty through Diamond warranty co. which he has brochures for in his office and he tried to talk us out of doing that stating that we would not need a warranty. He swore that the car was in great condition and even said that his assistant had the car out the weekend before with no problems.

About a month later the check engine light came on. I took it back to him and told him that the light was on. He came out with the code reader and i thought that he was going to give me the fault codes. Instead he reset it. When i went to advanced auto to have the codes read once i left his lot they told me that since he erased the codes i would have to wait til the light came on again. It came on again and i had a friend check the codes for me and i got two error codes for lean in both banks.

A few days ago (still under 3 month warranty) the car shut off on me. This is a BMW by the way. I had to have it towed home about 50 miles. Thank God my bf bought me AAA. I took it to a very reputable shop, because I can't just take my car anywhere and they ran a diagnostic and a smoke test and said i had 6 vacuum leaks and my car was showing about 5 error codes on different sensors. My estimate is currently $1800 and thats an open estimate. The car cost 6000, with the taxes it came to 7000 and now we are at 9000. MY boyfriend called him and asked him to take off 1000 because we have to pay 2000 in repairs and he said that we took it to the wrong shop and to take it to his mechanic (Lee) that hes been working with for 4 months who works out of a Getty gas station.

I am not taking my car to just any shop or random guy that he has had a relationship with for 4 months. Its a BMW which means they need to know how to work on it and the shop that it is currently at offers a 3 year, 36k mileage warranty on all work that they do.

This guy does not care. If you get a car from him and it works, good for you. You will have no problems. But if you leave his lot with a car that later gives you problems he will not care, nor help. He will beat around the bush. He has an excuse for everything. He will even go so far to ignore you.

Yes this is a buy here pay here. So you get what you get. But his humanity is on 0. He recently had a stroke and is sick and its bad to say this but he got what he deserved. If this is your only option, get the highest level of warranty and even consider getting a separate warranty. My warranty isn't covering any of the repairs because we got too low of a plan and even when we tried to upgrade, Diamond warranty told us that the lot had to call to change it. Of course the lot owner (Joe) told us that he couldnt change it.

He kept saying that 1k was too much to take off. But when we bought the car he swore up and down that nothing was wrong, nothing would go wrong and even showed us paperwork stating that the car checked out. Now I am at 1800 in estimates and that doesn't even address the no start problem from when the car cut off on me at 3am in another state or anything else they might find.

Lastly, when my boyfriend called him saying we needed him to take some of the money off of the price, he asked him where the car was because he would just go get it and we can give it back. We made our $550 payment roughly two days before this happened. So him saying he is going to get the car because we can give it back is ridiculous. I am lawyered up because this guy is a scam artist.

Check other places first. I had the option to buy a brand new 2016 Ford for the same 1k that i put down for this BMW but I decided that I didn't want to make payments for the next 10 years of my life. Because i have student loans the ford dealership automatically approved me through a special program. Go get yourself something new with a great warranty. Don't go here. (Theres other stuff but Im out of space)

Joe the snake. Other post is very siliair to my issue. I bought a 2009 hyundai eleantra touring . Nice blue color.

He stated car was in mint condition.
He too gave me the wine and dine of im laid back i like cash.

We deposited 4000.00 into his account adn a week later picked up plates.
After that car went off the raod due to shockes and sterring in front not being rassembled correctly.

Took cat to 2 dealers and they said car should have never been sold as is. Tilte should have stated different.

i called Joe and left messages with some illiterate person in there office.

Well i was to greeted by repo men.

These guys claimed to be police officers. Which impersonating officers is against the law.

I called Joe after 4 attempts of going tp his place and never finding anyone.

I owed him 1500.00 i explained to hm the incident that my wife and kids went through ad he was like i don't care.

he called me back with a priice of 49998.00 of which i only owe him 1500.00.

I explained i just got finished paying dealer for this costly repair.

He said i don't care.

He said he took off 695 off the total for the car after what happened.

Don't fall for his crap. He will die alone and miserable.

I'm not mad at car being repoed but the fact there are not allot of people you can-trust anymore.

Buying a new car this week.

I left Joe A Small deposit on a vehicle. I told him I would be there the following week to come pick it up. He assured me that's no problem the vehicle is mine. Well being a local resident I ride by there frequently and didn't see the vehicle so I stopped in a few days later. When I go inside Joe tells me that he sold the vehicle. Growing up my grandfather taught me that a man's word is all that he has. I'm not going to talk negative about him. I know I wasn't a big time spender and I'm sure that people were better off financially than I was. But my advice to Joe if you want your community to support your business they must find you to be a man of your word.
