City Diner

I love City Diner...been going there for 15 years...great black/white milkshakes...cheeseburgers, swiss & mushroom, etc. Great holiday dinners and best of...never rush you out...a relax atmosphere over cappuccino or glass of wine.

Food was over priced and not tasteful at all. The waitress confused my order, they had a steak and chicken platter and gave me steak and shrimp. I asked for a well done steak and it was pink in the center.

My girlfriend did not even finish her pasta since it was over sauced and Luke warm.

The food is NOT fresh!!!!!

Some of the asparagus in my pasta was discolored and sour.  I didn't notice this until halfway through my meal.  So I called the waitress over, and the first thing she said was "You almost finish already!!!" She did, however, immediately took my plate and dumped the rest in trash.  So I was not able to take pictures and document the problem.

The manager REFUSED to acknowledge that their food was spoiled. Saying that if there was anything wrong with the food, I would have voiced it before eating half my plate.

This is the WORST experience I've ever had in a restaurant.  That's saying a lot, since I've had a fly in my soup at some other restaurant.

This was the most terrible experience of our trip i nyc. My boyfriend ordered steak, medium steak, and he got on the first time absolutely different food and on the second time absolutely burned ,,medium steak". My wine was disgusting and my food was a pretty nad to..don't go there! Bif daddy's across the street is much more better!!

As soon as we stumbled upon City Diner, we didn't go anywhere else for breakfast. Great food, great service, great price. Back in New York later this year and each day has City Diner penned in for breakfast.
