Authentic Cuban Ambience! not hipster at all!

My second favorite bar/lounge/restaurant out of the 4 I went to that night in East Village. We couldn't get into one of the popular bar nearby (2-3hr wait) and we came across this one. I think the bouncer in the front caught my friends attention so we decided to check this place out. When we entered, it felt like we were in another country.

I really wanted to try their rum punch bowl but my friends were set on ordering some other non-rum drinks (booo). I ordered the Dew Drop Inn instead (barbancourt blanc, honeydew melon, lime, mint, demera). The cocktail satisfied my sweet tooth :) We ordered the tuna watermelon ceviche served with plantain chips that the server recommended (I love unique foods!). The combo of watermelon and tuna seemed weird but it was surprisingly delicious!

The place was crowded and it was a little bit of a challenge to maneuver through all the tables/chairs/servers to get to the bathroom in the dark, intoxicated.

I give it 5 stars for the experience, drinks, food and the friends who made this a memorable night for me.
