China Kettle

Tried to order through Grubhub. Took over an hour, the driver then called yelling at me that he's outside . I told him I was upstairs he refused to get out of the car. Called me back yelling that he was outside . I cancelled my order, never again.

It's took almost an hour for my food to come,when it finally did,the food was awful..Plus the delivery guy had so much attitude because I gave him 2 dollars tip..I will never order from here again

Stopped in for some take out and was greater at the counter very quickly. I placed my order and the wait began.

The place is mainly a sit down restaurant, you don't see many sit down Chinese places in Brooklyn much. The narrow place has quite a few tables and some booths. The restrooms are in the back and during my wait I need to go and I did. Though the place was pretty empty and early in the evening the trash can in the bathroom looked like it was not emptied in days.

After a very long 15 minute wait, did I mention the place was empty, I got my food and headed home. The portion as a good size and was ok, noting special. I like a bit more flavor. Worth the price and wait? Meh, no.

The have a "A" rating and they also deliver.

Ive lived in the area for about 6 years now, and this is still my go-to place for chinese food. It isn't a huge fancy restaurant, but their food just seems very high quality and not cheap. For example, when I order seseme chicken, its almost all pure white meat chicken (most places use a ton of batter). The beef tastes good and lean. They dont drench everything with sauce, but its all not dry at all. The fried rice is flavorful, which is better than the bland rice I got at some places around here.

For over 45 years this has been a restaurant.I used to dine here every week but for the past 5 years I stopped.The food was not fresh and the seasonings were off.
I gave it a go for take out this week and it still fails my taste buds.
Just to add Saprano filmed a TV show here during one of its seasons. I have no idea why they picked the Mill Basin location...LOL
