Charlie's Corner

Definitely a great place to stop in for happy hour and appetizers. If you want to feel like home this place definitely reminds me of "Cheers" where everybody knows your name and they are always glad you came! Thank you Tara and all the bartenders for making it feel so special. Definitely not racist, and a very happy and cheerful place.

Charlie's is the best of the best. You can have a great time with friends or hang and sing some karaoke... its what NJ was built on... a good old time!

As for the review I just read about this place being racist, I think maybe there is just certain kinds of colored people they don't want in there. Understandable to a certain extent. Now I will leave that subject alone and talk about the karaoke DJ. I appreciated the compliment from the DJ about my old school high top fade haircut when he came to me at the bar and simply said he liked my haircut. But did he really need to get on the mic and make a freaking spectacle out of me as I was getting up to sing my karaoke. I was there to sing and have a couple of drinks. Not be a contestant in a hair show with the DJ as the judge. I was born in 83 so by the late 80s and early 90s I was definitely around to see people's hairstyles. Every high top fade is not a "flat top".

GREAT PLACE!!!!!!! as long as your skin tone doesn't have some shade. There's an overt display of racism at this place that I didn't think places like this still existed. Besides being disgusted, the shameful part is the class of attendants didn't even look like they were a contributing factor to society. Place = Racist.. stay away if you're not of the right background.

Came in from out of town on a Monday night, Jeanette, the bartender was delightful. Very friendly neighborhood, bar. Good conversations with the patrons and Jeanette, Good food and service. Really the perfect little place with a laid back, welcoming Vibe. I'll be back.
