Service is always stellar here, with my favorite waitress being the amazing Debbie. Great salad bar as well as good entrées and apps.

Tried this place as we're new to the area. Took the prior reviews and advice from coworkers into consideration... Glad we didn't listen. First off, we went at a peak time, around 7:30 and to our surprise, we were promptly seated. The only fault we had with this place is the length of time it actually took to get our drinks and order in... But, they were busy and it was not the staff's lack of good work. Once we got our drinks, we went to the salad bar. I miss old steakhouse type places with these. Charlie's has a great selection with all sorts of offerings. The main meal arrived shortly thereafter. My wife ordered a seafood combo, consisting of shrimp, bacon-wrapped scallops, and shrimp-- accompanied with pilaf. The fish was all cooked perfectly! She couldn't even begin to finish the entire meal. I on the other hand, got the Charlie's Cut Prime Rib with garlic mash. This prime rib was cooked to my liking (rare) and they also brought out horseradish at my request. Perfectly tender and marbled... Minimal fat to waste. If you're in the area and want to avoid the nightmare of Route 17, this is a solid bet. The value for money at this place is commendable. Good job, Chuck!! We will be back.

Prime rib is not supposed to taste like roast beef. And the lady behind the bar that takes the orders is just . She was rolling her eyes act like she didn't want to answer questions that we had about the . Its not our fault you don't get tips. The nice gentleman who said he was a manager should be working the front not her!!!

Great food and workers

We were sat in the lounge while a rutgers game was on so slightly noisy but that didn't bothet us. the salad bar is better than ruby tuesdays in our area. the two steaks were properly cooked and tastey. the horseradish crust could have had more zing or more flavor but the steak didn't need it anyway. portion size was good. service was fast and attentitive.
