Central Park Inn

At first I loved it great place to crash had to stay in new york for a while. I woke up one morning to find a mouse digging through my trash it jumped out and ran under the fridge. I killed it, told them about it and they blamed me of course wasn't surprised. Since no one did anything about i took care of it myself found a hole under the refrigerator no only that under the refrigerator and there was a huge space underneath the sink it was disgusting you can tell it hadn't been clean for a while . During my stay I saw a couple of more mice running around i killed a couple. They should of really closed the holes in that room i feel bad for the person who is in there now.

Stayed few nights with friend, had room with own bathroom and kitchenette area. Great place to stay, plus having subway acsess, grocer, cafe and Central Park all right there in little walking distance. Definitely would stay time and time again.

I stayed at the Central Park Hostel for four nights and I wish I had stayed in another hotel. Our room was small, which isn't that bad, but on hot spring nights without a fan it is horrible! We could not leave our window open as the street was the loudest street in NYC it seemed. Lots of yelling, shouting and talking and the grocery shop on the corner kept blasting music till 2AM in the morning. We had to close our window because of all the noise and so it was extremely hot in our room.
We stayed on the 5th floor, were there were also these two creepy teethless bums staying. They didn't look like hotel guests so I guess they made some deal with the hostel that they could live there but there were creepy and the hallway smelled enormously because of them and they made lots of noise during the night, including creepy moaning noises in the kitchen.
Someone (pretty sure one of these bums) also stole my cheese from the fridge. This cheese was brought over all the way from bacl home, especially for me, and then some nasty person stole it ALL.
Don't go to this hostel.

The Staff at the Hostel was very nice, private rooms clean and quiet. Unfortunately during our 3 day stay the bathrooms were not cleaned once. Also hot water seemed a commodity. But if you are just looking for a place to crash, not too bad.
