Casa Verde

Food was good. We came with a large party after a funeral. The only complaint is the wait staff. Although they are very prompt and attentive, the staff was very stiff, but maybe it's an SI thing.

You cannot find a restaurant that gives better service and awesome food for the price you pay. The staff is very accomidating and food is always done to perfection.

I've been to the Bella Vita on Richmond a number of times over the years and have ordered the veal chop every single time as it is by far the BEST veal chop I've ever had, and I've had plenty in all five boroughs...no exaggeration... Family loves the food so we keep coming backt..In addition, something worth mentioning, the staff was impessively attentive every time I've visited, something you don't see too often at poorly run restaurants...Again, try the veal chop!

We went and celebrated my mom's birthday tonight and we should have gone to the Bella Vita on Hylan where my mom wanted to go, that's for sure. There was a party going on so we sat in the back and were not able to read the menu since it was dark there and it was only 5:00 on a sunny day. My mom had to use my pen light to read the menu.
I ordered the grilled chicken OVER caesar salad and I got this small piece of grilled chicken NEXT to some horrible oily salad. It was similar to the salad I was given just before that came with the meal, duh, you would think they would ask if I wanted soup instead since I was going to have a caesar salad. I informed the waiter that this was NOT a caesar salad and he argued and then said that it was and then said he would take it have have the chicken cut up. I informed him that I could cut it myself but it was the salad that was not caesar. It didn't pay to argue since he was stupid. What a waste of $17.50 for a crap meal.
Mother and hubby said their chicken & veal meals were ok.
Dessert was fine. I felt so bad that my mom's birthday dinner sucked.

The food is great and so is the service. When you’re looking for a nice place to go with family or friends, this is the place to go. And the veal chop is one of my favorite dish =-)
