Captain Dave's boat is a great boat and has been in business for many years and I highly recommend this boat to anybody. The Captain surely knows what he's doing. The Captain and crew are very courteous to their customers and I give it a five star rating. Many times I caught lots of fish and other times I didn't even get a bite. Captain Dave tries very hard to find the fish and most of the time he does. It has nothing to do with faulty fishing rods, his sonar is always working to find the fish and his radar is to help him navigate through the fog and to find wrecks. RADAR DOES NOT FIND YOU THE FISH. As far as the bait, we used worms to catch striped bass and since bluefish were not around, we did not use bunker. Some nights are extremely slow and some nights are great. You just don't know when the fish are going to bite. Remember sometimes you catch and sometimes you don't. That's what fishing is all about. Billy A., Whitestone, NY.

Good season

Went out on the Captain Dave the other night and we did extremely well fishing for Striped Bass.
I personally caught two keeper Stripers with the larger one just over 20 pounds.
The Crew was very helpful and for my first time on the Captain Dave I can safely say I will return.
