I attended the cosmetology program in 2014 . The kit they gave was very low quality and out dated. Through out the whole program we weren't taught a men's hair cut and so much was left out. You will have to pay extra for all the classes which are expensive(hair cutting; eyelash extensions;hair extensions;basic mens haircuts;make-up and gel nails, etc.) when educators come in .The school LIMITS the resources you can use for example color , bleach and shampoo!!!!!!!!Coloring wasn't taught right they would base only on the book which is very basic!!! Don't expect interactive e-learning resources supporting the book when it comes to explaining in depth the topics. They only give you only one maniquin which is not enough so you'll pay out of pocket for extra maniquins. So on top of the tution + $15,000 all the fees involving your permit, license, theory and pratical state Board tests are not included !!! For the pratical exam you will also need to buy many items for the test that the school won't provide. Everyday you will be carrying your kit to school many students would take luggage , so if you have class upstairs it's very annoying! ! The school will never control the number of students for the cosmetology program so you will most likely in a overcrowded class where you have to line up to wash your maniquin because there is only one sink in the class or you have the option of going to senior floor where the clients are !!! Also take your own extension because you'll need one. The school doesn't have any sort of security anyone can just come in and there is no cameras . It was a waste of time and money !!! I always had a positive attitude and aced all my tests and eager to learn if we would complain nothing would change.

I enrolled in the school in September and I was ready to start my career. When I got to the school I noticed that there were only four other new students that would be in my class. So I assumed I was going to have a smaller class which I was happy about. Instead, they put us in a class with other students that hasn't went to the next class (which is the Senior floor). I was a bit upset because I wasn't told that I was going to be sharing a class room with other students who wasn't new. The teacher wasn't able to focus on the new students because the others needed her. After the fifth day going to Capri, I withdrew from the school. If I'm going to spend 15,000 dollars I'm going to spend it on the right school.

My advise it to make sure your in a school where all the new students are in one class that way the teacher can INSTRUCT accordingly. There is no way you can teach a class when all the students aren't on the same page, it's confusing. Don't waste your money!

I am not a "hater" like this woman says not to listen to, but everyone has their own opinion, and you should always check it out for yourself.

Everyone's opinion is different, and I could have very well just had a bad expirence.

I visited this school, to attend, not for their services.

The woman was nice, she wasn't rude or anything. But, once I basically told her I am not rich, and would need financial aid (loans), she also wasn't helpful.

She basically told me not to fill out the FaFsa (assumed that I wouldn't get ANYTHING).

Now a friend of mine went and she told her she could afford the $3,000 for a different field. She has been calling and e-mailing her non-stop. I guess because I don't have over $15,000 to give her in cash, I am not a worthy candidate for her school. I am now enrolled in the beautiful Paramus location of Empire Beauty school which is about the same tuition. THey helped me 100% of the way. When i left Capri after visiting (it was the first school i visited) I felt discouraged and ready to give up on my dream...

The school isn't beautiful, its kind of rooms with little stations. I did see one thing I liked, I saw a teacher up out of her chair helping a student.

Their kit looks good because its in a big case, but pay attention to how many dolls they offer you, and how many dolls you get from other schools.

-- I guess if you have money, this is the school to go to.

Great place to get your hair done. I went there with my girlfriends and we had a blast, it was well worth it. The blond lady, I think her name was Jenny or jean or something behind the counter was super sweet, she help me decide what color highlights I should get, and even recommended the right type of shampoo for my hair. I could tell she was a great teacher by the way she showed one of the students how to properly do a patch test. Now for the service itself, we were there for about 3 hours, I got highlights, color, and my nails done, and it was like $75, everywhere else a service like that would be over $150. The senior students showed professionalism in everything they did, and I was impressed with how much they knew about their profession. I totally recommend this place to anyone looking for great service at a great price!

It's only $7 for a haircut and $9 to get your hair washed + cut (plus tip) so if saving money is your first priority then go here. However, it's not a pleasant atmosphere. The hefty blonde woman behind to counter is miserable, and has a perpetual chip on her shoulder. She treats the students like they're worthless and the customers like they're maggots.

It took nearly 2 hours for me to get my hair washed and cut, and the results were really no better than what I can do myself so that alone doesn't make it worth it to me. Overhearing the conversations that go on there is also a bit uncomfortable. When I went, students were bragging about how many abortions they had, and one was actually talking about how she beat up some mother at an ice cream store in front of her kids! Classy.
