I would NEVER take my dog there again. I recently rescued a dog from horrific living conditions. I was recommended to this place. I had an appointment at 1020am. 1020? I never heard of an appointment time like that, anyway I arrived at 1010am and waited an HOUR to be seen. I was ready to walk out 45 minutes in. Between the horrible smell in there to my dog shaking I was done. FINALLY I get called into the room. And what a SHI*SHOW that was. The doctor comes in Dr. Miller and after waiting an hour excuses herself to answer her cell phone. Kept waiting again I was ready to walk out. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Then she comes back and does a once over on the dog. I've never had a female dog before. And apparently she was in the beginning stages of heat. I left there with more questions than I came in with and NOTHING was answered. THEN (mind you I've had many dogs before) they proceed to tally up my bill and want payment RIGHT there in the room. I felt like it was a drug transaction. I have NEVER paid my bill in the room like that. Then they told me they need a stool sample. Ok. Gave me the container for it. I get the sample. I bring it in today and they want 51 dollars from me. I was outraged. What did I pay for in the visit? 129 dollars for a look over and a heart worm test. DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS THERE.

I heard he was a terrific doctor but needless to say he's not 2 years ago I took my dog there to get spayed and Dr cameron told me she was already fixed ..so now my dog has breast cancer the new doctor took as much as he can from her thank god she would of only lasted a month or two if this procedure wasn't caught in time!!!. I am so upset with Dr cameron I will never take her there again. And just to let you know his assistant that was there told him but not once but twice that my dog is not fixed and he was right!!!. Very costly and this could have beeN prevented 2 years ago

Dr. Cameron, Dr. Ruiz, and Dr. Miller could not be more loving toward the animals in their care. They go above and beyond, to ensure both patient and caretaker are at ease, and well treated.
I've been taking my pets here for over 30 years and I'm still struck by their compassion and generosity. They're GOOD people.

It has been more than 10 years since I moved away from Montclair to Chicago but I still greatly miss the quality and loving care my many pets received during the 20 or so years that they were patients there, The reason I am writing this is because I'm totally frustrated with the quality and cost of vet care in the Chicago suburbs.

I recently took our German Shepherd puppy to our vet for the last in a series of her vaccinations. They did give her a heart worm test and aspirated a cyst to make sure it was benign. That was almost $700. When I asked how much it would cost to spay her, I was told it would be at least $1,600. And, although I've taken five cats and three dogs over the years, they have always demanded full payment up front before any procedures are done. The rates other vets charge are comparable. This makes it almost prohibitively expensive to rescue and own pets.

Dr. Cameron used to give us "bulk discounts because we had three cats and a dog. His rates always seemed reasonable -- and in some cases a little low. One of my favorite memories was of Dr. Cameron walking around with a tiny kitten in his shirt pocket, hoping someone would adopt to. We, ourselves, adopted three of our cats there.

Don't know if he is still practicing but I will always remember him and his staff fondly.
