My husband outdid himself and took me sailing on New York Harbor for my birthday. It was a complete surprise, even the kids kept the secret.The captain let me sail for hours. He was a great teacher. The kids even got a turn. It was a great way to spend an afternoon.

My fiance did the most romantic thing, he surprised me with a sunset sail on Calypso. We started about an hour before sunset. The boat was really beautiful and we both got to steer. We felt like real sailors. We got so close to the Statue of Liberty that you could almost touch it. And then with a perfect sunset behind the Statue, Ara got on hjs knee and proposed. When I stopped crying, we had champagne and cuddled as it got dark. It was the most beautiful day of my life. (So far, the wedding will be in June.)
