Amazing amazing amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better company to have helped me with my move. Last minute they quoted me and picked up in 24 hours. I received all my items in perfect condition in less than 2 weeks after pick up. The people on the phone as well as the movers themselves were positive and understanding. The guys took 20 minutes to move my storage unit into the truck and were very grateful with my small tip that i could reach out to each of them. In California they were nice as well at least the people that i communicated with over the phone. The movers bringing my boxes into my house weren't not nice but def didn't make me feel as good as the New York crew. No conversation no smiles. Noticeably just wanted to get the job done. Whatever, its cool. Not everyone enjoys shootin' the sh*t.

- Poor #58081
Before you read my review, please note, California New York Express has not received any positive reviews in the last 11 months. Possibly management should be aware that their level of service is going downhill significantly.

The people who came to the house and provided the quote were very nice and very helpful. The mover in Los Angeles were also very nice as well. However, they packed and shipped our furniture so poorly that upon arrival two bed frames had completely cracked, our Marino glass chandelier was broken, and at least a dozen other items damaged including lamps, a coffee table and stereo equipment. Not to mention the movers in Connecticut were not very careful and damaged the floors in two rooms.

I understand and expect some damage, however, this was very disappointing. Moreover, after requesting that I file a claim they with photos, etc., which I was reluctant to do, they only offered just under $500. An amount not even covering one of the two bed frames. Rachel in the office has been great, but I would not recommend this company, as they do not value their customers enough or their reputation to make good on the items which they packed, and shipped - this is what they do for a living!

I gave it two stars because most of my stuff arrived slowly. The timing is not stated in the contract so I don't have much to complain. However, two items of my shipping are missing! Yes, they are still missing. Do you know that's my grand piano's legs? The grand piano's legs are not something you can get from HomeDepot! They are tracking where the legs are, and yes, I know they are working on it. However, the fact is I have most of my stuff, but the most precious items in my shipping are missing. The staff are friendly and responsive, but my grand piano is handicap now!

- Terrible #58083
This company deletes all their 1 star reviews. The broke a piece of my antique furniture and repaired it without my knowledge or permission with an angled screw and crappy glue job. DON'T TRUST THESE PEOPLE. I ended up paying $1,200 more than my initial quote and for terrible service. Who breaks something and then tries to repair it in a NOTICEABLE WAY? How can a company think that is acceptable. I have pictures of the damage they did and the repair but they delete honest reviews of their services from their Google+ page. You cannot silence those who paid to have their items damages and deceitfully repaired.

CONTINUED EXPERIENCE

My experience today regarding my chair they repaired with an angle screw through the arm.

"If you are upset with me service we have thousands of other customers" They refuse to talk to me or help me unless I change my attitude. I said the F word which apparently too sinful for a company that deals primarily with New Yorkers. After I told "Rachel" (who is actually their whole customer service department, it's just one rude woman named Rachel) I wanted to talk to a manager she put me on a fake hold for the few seconds and handed the phone to someone next to her who is apparently the operations manager, Lee. Before I could even begin, she informs me she has heard the entire phone call because she is sitting right next to Rachael (some company) and she's only going to communicate with me via email unless I change my attitude. At this point I have used no profanity, this woman was literally refusing to talk to me while I sounded unhappy and because I dropped an F bomb with Rachel.

Then the operations manager Lee yelled at me, "YOU ARE GONNA BE PATIENT, we are gonna pick up a chair when we have a driver in the area, and it's going to take as long as it's going to take, and you are going to have to be patient." YES THIS IS THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER, EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED.

They gave me two options, go through the normal claims process, which requires getting a document notarized ANOTHER FEE, or having someone come and pick up the chair and repair it. Initially, I was going to go through the claim, but decided I would rather have the chair repaired because the sentimental value means more than money.

Lee reminded me exactly of an angry mother. She scolded me for my attitude, but then followed it up with sweetness. When I explained to her this entire process has been upsetting (because she kept insisting I had negative vibes) she did offer to look into the fact that my actual cost of service was $1,200 OVER THE GUARANTEED ESTIMATE. She did scold me again saying I should have called immediately after this happened, oh sorry I couldn't have cause I was crying in my empty apartment about my empty wallet.

Please stay tuned for the process of them trying to repair my chair that they broke and then attempted to repair with an angled screw and glue.

BONUS TIDBIT: The owner does not live in the United States. So if you actually want to talk to someone higher up and responsible for the running of this company, OPPS YOU CAN'T.

It was a perfect move with everything as expected. Aaron and his crew in NY, and Walter and his crew in San Francisco did a terrific job. I never thought moving would be easy but you guys did a great job which made the move easy for me and my family. The Packing of the Large items was excellent and we got our things delivered without any damage. On both ends , the crew members explained their method of packing and Unpacking things. We would highly recommend these movers.
