whooaa...
some times we don't need to double check the place to make sure how it is..
This place rocks!!
I had brunch there (Sunday) and I'm not satisfied... I want more!!
Food was amazing good and well presented (rare!). With the brunch you also get 2 drinks, coffee and juice....
Go for it because I'm also going back!!

Worst place for service and professionalism, possibly ever. They've got their hours as 9am-11pm on here. Two of us got there at 10:55. I call and get answering machine. Check Yelp, which says it's opening at "11:15am Today". Two women are sitting on the ground under the awning of the pizza place next door speaking Spanish so seems like they might know something. Sure enough they say the manager is across the street at the convenience store, and they're waiting for him to open up. Having come over from Manhattan, we decide to wait for them to open. The guy comes across the street at 11:05, doesn't acknowledge waiting customers, just bangs about, unlocks the grate and leaves it open halfway up after entering. At 11:15 I look through the glass. No one's visible. No sign of opening at 11:20. Grate still down, but I spot him behind the bar. I knock on the window to get his attention. Just want to know if we should go somewhere else since we're hungry. Tables are set up, but he's the only one there front of house. He doesn't seem to hear. I knock again and after a few moments again. Then a little harder. Still doesn't look, turn - no acknowledgement. I try the door, which opens and ask if they're opening soon. He pretends not to hear the first couple of times. Then he' says they're closed. I ask when they're planning to open. Says they're closed again, tells me that's what the halfway down grate means. Other than being really hungry, I'd have walked at this point. I say fine, but when will you open. He says they're not opening at all today. I say seriously we're just hungry and want to eat. He says they're not opening in an angry irritated manner and walks away. I'm a little upset by this point, and slam the door shut, which gets him back to the door cursing me. I give him a piece of my mind. He really gets into the cursing. I have to step away to avoid his spittle. The owner has gotten there at this point and tries to apologize, but really he should just fire the lazy, obnoxious manager who's probably hungover and not happy to be at work, and clearly costing him business. Food probably is decent. I like arrepas and most of the menu looks decent. Drinks sound good. I was excited to try the place. Zero stars for this place. Coda: a guy who apparently lives nearby and heard the argument tells us we're not missing anything. I tell him he should have written a review and warned us about the obnoxious imbecile.

Great place! The oxtail was delicious, the service was fast & friendly, and the atmosphere was warm & authentically Cuban. A true gem in the Greenpoint area. Highly recommended!

I only tried the bandeja paisa and an arepa with cheese and I must say it was flavorful and awesome! The employees were very attentive and nice. I definitely will be back and try other foods and drinks!

I came for the carry out lunch for 7. While waiting, I had time to look around, and the place is just awesome! It's like the moment you pass the veil divinding the restaurant from the street, you're somewhere else! The atmosphere is just awesome...as well as the food!
