When looking for wedding planners, my husband and I called several NYC planners and scheduled meetings a year and a half before we wanted to get married in order to determine whom we wanted to hire. We had a venue that we loved, but also wanted to consider other options. Our potential venue was out of state and we lived abroad at the time so we needed a team that could keep the pieces rolling, work with our schedule (last minute meetings when we came into town, emails at all hours of the day and night, calls to update us and keep us sane), and could coordinate a wedding at a venue that had never hosted a big wedding. Upon meeting Jeannie and Krista at C & G Weddings we knew that they were the perfect fit for us, and, throughout the 1.5 years we worked with them to plan our wedding, we never once doubted our decision. They helped us the entire way down the aisle. From doing a cost analysis of the desired venue to going to bat for us when we needed our venue to compromise, Jeannie and Krista really stepped up to the plate and went above and beyond.

Throughout the planning process, Jeannie and Krista liaised with our venue, coordinated photographers, band, lights, etc as well as details that we would have never thought of. Jeannie and Krista helped us stay on track with our budget – regularly updating us as to vendor expenses and estimated costs. Additionally whenever a hiccup in our plan arose, Jeannie and Krista made us aware of the situation along with two to three potential solutions.

There were a few fires that they put out on the day of our wedding caused by our venue. Jeannie and Krista met these fires with the upmost air of professionalism and grace, so much so that my husband and I never knew about them until several months later when they told us the stories over drinks.

Jeannie and Krista worked really well with my husband who was very involved in the planning of our wedding requiring professionalism, directness and quick-thinking. They also remained very flexible, making time for us whenever we needed it and working around our schedules.

Not to brag, but even now, over a year later our friends still say that our wedding was the best they have ever been to – something that we know is due to the hard work, creativity and dedication of Jeannie and Krista.

Being an event planner myself I knew I wanted to perfect every detail of our wedding but I soon realized the wedding world is a whole other animal from the events I planned and I needed to find an equivalent of my "Type A" self in a wedding planner. When I met with Jeannie & Krista I felt instantly calm and taken care of, I had found my match. They addressed any concerns I had throughout the process with grace, honesty and generous amounts of time. I had a lot of ideas that I wanted to make reality and they were able to help me do that. The vendors that they work with are all very professional and exceeded my expectations.

On the day of the wedding unfortunately it began to rain on and off. At one point I looked out the window down to our where our outdoor ceremony was to take place and saw Jeannie trying to mop up all the water from the rain. That should give you a good idea of how dedicated they are to their clients! Thank you both again for all your hard work on our special day!

In the course of planning our wedding (which took place in Boston last year), they did the legwork to put us in touch with wonderful vendors, held our hands through the process, and taught us about the questions we should be asking. J&K were very responsive to our emails and questions and we never felt alone in the process.

No problem was too big or too small for Jeannie and Krista to handle. They successfully advocated for us
throughout the process.

They are very creative, thoughtful, and tasteful. They got to know us, and, as a result, they planned a beautiful wedding that we felt represented us as a couple. This made us feel both comfortable and proud on our wedding day.

Jeannie and Krista saved us a lot of time and aggravation. We did not experience the usual planning or wedding-day stress. We just got to enjoy the process and our wedding day, without having to worry about anything.
