Butcher Bar

Love the Butcher Bar! The atmosphere is really nice and cozy, the decor is cool, and the food never disappoints. I used to come here a lot couple of years ago but yesterday was my first time back in a while. Everything is as I remember.

The menu is on the smaller side but it offers all kinds of goodness. We got the carved board with the burned ends (the best item on the menu!), brisket (falling apart and super juicy), and the pork belly (tasty but a bit crispy for my taste). We also ordered a side of french fries (fresh cut and amazing) and the house slaw (no twist, just regular coleslaw but made to perfection). We also ordered two cocktails- the cucumber refresher (was very refreshing indeed but no alcohol to it at all) and the blood red sangria (which was pretty good). The three of us split everything and we left happy and with full bellies. Definitely will be coming back!

What a great bbq place in Astoria. From the first time I went to it a few weeks back and just going tonight. Both times has exceptional service and great tasting food. They have outside seating which I have sat at twice and even accommodated us as we had children with us the 2nd time around. I will continue to rave to all my family and friends of the A+ service as well as the fresh tasteful foods they have. The display of when the food comes out is great and having the beer come out in Mason jars just adds the cherry on the cake. The food has authentic bbq taste, amazing great tasting food.

Food - Pork Belly and Burnt ends are on point! Mac and Cheese is creamy and so yummy! Ribs & beef brisket are so so. Original & SweetSpicy bbq sauces are good. Would love to see more sauces added to the mix!

Place - rustic, place is 80% made of wood and their mason jar glasses takes it home!

Service - attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. My second time here,Paul helped us out a lot!

Whenever in Astoria, this is always a great eat. They are consistent with the quality of their food. The waiters are always friendly and attentive. Tried most things on their menu and are always a hit. I am now a fan of coleslaw!
