Great local bar with excellent food, especially the Pizza. Its kind of like a bar where everyone knows your name

I have gone to Bunny's twice in the span of 2 months and I will NEVER go back.
Drinks are good but service is unacceptable. First time, the bartender, another staff member, and my date were openly making fun of me and talking about me when I was right there.
SECOND TIME- The bartender and the bar back were insane. I cannot completely describe what happened because it didn't make any sense, but they openly hated my date (who literally did not do anything but try to start a conversation). They took the conversation starter as offensive and things escalated (for them apparently). We had no idea they were even upset until they started yelling, making a scene, and being downright disrespectful. I think they had a little too much to drink or something...... it was bizarre.

3 stars isn't necessarily a bad rating, it's just what this place is. I really enjoy coming here and do so quite often. The wings and nachos are excellent - most of the food is pretty good. Draft beer is awful though - not sure the lines get cleaned enough. Most of the staff are very friendly and everything is super affordable. Also, you can get beer and wine to go, which is awesome.

If you are under the age of 25, dont expect to be treated well at Bunny's Sports Bar. Bunny's is located in South Orange, with Seton Hall University being probably less than a mile away. Rather than embrace the environment and become a college student friendly bar Bunny's seems happy to turn away that business. The worst part about all of this, is the food and drinks at Bunny's are great. No complaints there at all. But for whatever reason or another the service is piss poor if you are not an older patron or a local.
Out of state patrons are subject to a second form of Identification which I find to be ridiculous as bartenders should be trained how to read IDs from every state and if not they should have some sort of print that should cover out of state ID requirements. Not to mention the staff is beyond rude.
I get it, college kids might not be the ideal patron you want for your bar but that doesnt mean you have to take it out on every younger patron in there. I am no longer in college, I maintain a decent job and I enjoy to go out and spend my hard earned money. But in return for that hard earned money I expect better service than menus being thrown at my friends, being told the kitchen is closed while other patrons get food, and not being able to split a bill for a table. Not too mention one time I went with a girl for a date, and they were not too busy, rather than say they were closing they proceeded to turn off all of the lights in the bar til we got the hint.
No one deserves to be treated this way in the service industry. Just my opinion but Bunny's would be a great time if the staff was friendlier

Bunny's is, without exaggeration, my favorite! A warm, family friendly restaurant with delicious food (The Garlic Salad is to die for!) and wonderful wait staff. They are TOPS!
