Budget Truck Rental

Had an 8:30 reservation for pickup. Still waiting for an attendant to show up (it's 9:00). They better have a truck available for me nearby because I've had this reserved for weeks and must move today. I DO NOT recommend this place.

Budget's website is misleading. It will allow users to select this location as the end-point in a one-way rental but this location does not actually accept returning vehicles from one-way rentals. Don't try to return trucks here unless you rented them here at the outset.

Things to know:
Their hours on Saturdays are 9-2.
They don't have an answering machine.
Moving trucks cannot be parked on the street in residential neighborhoods of New York overnight.

Willing to work with you even if you have a strenuous schedule to comply with.

Something is not right with this business. I reserved a truck almost two weeks in advance, confirmed two days in advance and showed up at 9 AM only to have them tell me they didn't have a truck for me. Then, Budget tried to hook me up with a van that was an hour's drive away. I'm in Brooklyn, don't tell me to pick up the truck in Elmhurst, Queens. And the worst part was the guys behind the counter looked so miserable I couldn't even vent on them. It would be the equivalent of picking on the special ed kid. My advice for those looking to rent a truck in Bed Stuy and Clinton Hill is to look elsewhere.
