Un poco caro pero excelente atención

As a mid-century modern snob, I never thought I would wander into BoConcept. But we did on a weekend walk through the neighborhood. And what we found surprised us. Buying mid-century modern resale has become prohibitively expensive as more people have discovered that this furniture is inherently suited to New York living (read: teeny tiny apartments). But here you can find sleek, cleanly designed modern pieces without the sticker shock -- and no musty basement smell! Kyle and the team at BoConcept in Dumbo are incredibly helpful, creative, patient, kind and all without being overbearing. Highly recommended!

I was recently put in charge of furnishing a small office that also needs to serve as a showroom. My instructions were to keep it simple, elegant and reasonably priced. To my surprise, furnishing an office in New York city is no easy task. I found that there are many companies that specialize in furnishing large office spaces, however when it comes to putting together something small and tasteful, you’re sort of left there hanging. I visited pretty much every ‘big brand’ shop in town, and found that the selection of office furniture is generally limited and overpriced. I started losing hope, making reluctant trips to Ikea and stressing out about how much time this project was taking. Then finally, I found BoConcept. Unlike almost everywhere else I went (I am 24 and not much of a formal dresser, so perhaps I don’t come off as someone with much spending power?), at BoConcept I was immediately acknowledged and greeted. Gerald was super friendly from the get go, and after I spilled the beans about my situation, we looked at some options together which opened my eyes to a wold of opportunities. Without Gerald’s help I would have never imagined the Lugo Dining Table as the fabulous desk which it revealed itself to be. And it does not stop there! That same day Gerald came to my office to get a feel for the space and measure it. A week later he emailed me a beautiful 3D rendering of the floor plan, along with a couple of furnishing proposals, which included a customized Lecco display case (exactly what I needed for the showroom portion of the office). Let me be clear: Gerald’s consulting was free of charge and his suggestion, I didn't even know such a thing was possible! Words can’t do justice to the way Gerald went above and beyond the call of duty, though in truth everyone at BoConcept was incredibly helpful. I requested an expedited delivery for the desks, which was handled with utmost efficiency.

And aside from the stellar customer service, I only have good things to say about the quality of the products. My desks (which are in white lacquered wood) are incredibly easy to clean and virtually impossible to scratch.

I would (and do) highly recommend BoConcept to anyone who is looking for modern, “easy going” designs, good quality and all the hand holding you could ask for.

I've always thought BoConcept was like an expensive IKEA without the meatballs. Once I stepped inside, I knew that was true.

Although my sales person was great, the "company polocy" resulted in my having to keep three damaged shelves for which they gave me no consideration. I, not only thought that I was cheated into buying something that was much more damaged than they claimed it was..but when I called them they were not cooporative. Their store is less than a mile from my home and they would not send any one to see how they arrived after I called. I think that they counted on the fact that I am disabled and that I would have no way to return them. Since then,... they discontinued the item because of the cracking in the shelves...but would not acknowlege the cracking in my shelves.
IWOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING AT THESE STORES..IT LOOKS GREAT IN THE SHOWROOMS BUT WHO KNOWS?????
