The beignet was the best part! I was looking forward to the brisket but the Alabama white chicken wings were delicious!

There is only two Blue Smoke venues in NYC. A lady I dated introduced me to Blue Smoke. The one in flat Iron district was the one we went to first. You can see a musical concert when you eat! The restaurant on Vesey is always busy! You can take out food but not the fried chicken. To eat such good work at work always made my day. You can smell the food on your fingers even after you washed your hands. Good food for a special occasion. They sometimes have specials on their beer! You can host a party there as well. Speak to a waitress for information.

This place was what you would expect from BBQ in New York, it wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't a "True smoke pit"...it was expensive, portions were small, no smell of BBQ in the air, no Burnt ends or True BBQ style...it seemed to me that anyone who opened a cook book with BBQ in NYC could produce the same or better at a reduction of the cost or atleast an increase in portion size.
Oh yeah and my 12oz beer was $10, in a city with so many options... survey your options wisely

I wanted to love this place as I LOVE bbq. I'm not a very picky eater or tough critic when it comes to food. Unfortunately, I was beyond disappointed with this place - so was everyone else in our group of 5. The location was pretty ideal as we had just finished up at the Statue of Liberty and were about to go to the 9/11 Museum & Memorial. We went there around 1-2pm and they gave us the Southern Brunch menu. I just looked on their website now and it seems like their regular lunch menu is SLIGHTLY more appealing. 2 people got the pulled pork shoulder, 1 got the grandma bernice's granola, 1 got the blue smoke burger, and 1 got a salad. After the first bite you could tell that everyone was very unhappy with their meals. So unappetizing and overpriced. The chicken in the salad was nothing but bones. The fruit in the granola was nasty. The pork seemed like it was raw. The waitress kept coming back to check on us, it was VERY clear that we were not happy and she wasn't the least bit phased by it. Overall, I would NOT recommend this place.
