Visited Blue Ale house for the first time Saturday, 8/13. After 3 weeks in business they have not figured out that the Sun shines really BRIGHT/HOT through the windows right into a booth that they seat people at! I had to ask if they had any kind of shade that could be lowered and was told by the hostess that "the shades won't be in for another few weeks" What? We asked to have our table changed - within a half hour that same angle of the Sun forced me to put on sun glasses and I was blinded for much of my meal. How can you NOT think of this when your restaurant has a glass front? Food was terrible - how can you screw up sweet potato fries? My Husband said we won't go back, which is fine with me. Like another poster said "I liked The Shannon Rose MUCH better!"

My boyfriend and I went for dinner about a week after opening and just had an awful experience. First of all the place doesn't really fit into Woodbridge. Boring vibe. Anyways, we didn't have a waitress for about 11 minutes until my BF asked for one. Took 15 min for drinks. Brought the wrong food out first, then forgot my chicken in my salad when it finally came out 4 years later lol. Waitress was really nice but we won't be going back

It's in the old Shannon Rose location. I stopped in for lunch during happy hour. Its completely renovated into a more open floorplan. 2 levels. TVs all over with a huge one made up of 36 TVs. Cool looking place. Its going thru the soft opening process. Bartenders were still training but they were still talkitive and attentive. Food was ok but its was simple wings and shrimp cocktail. My brother had Lobster Mac and Cheese and said it was good. Great beer selection. I will deff be back

Had lots of fun at Blu Alehouse. First appearance as you walk into the place is wow huge place with lots of enormous flat-screen tvs all over the place kinda like Buffalo Wild Wings on Steroids. The staff that greeted us were very nice but could have used more energy to go with the ambiance they were very dry a couple of redbulls may have helped. There was a 45 minute wait to be seated so we went upstairs to have a drink at their smaller bar which I don't understand upstairs had over 10 tables empty but there was a 45 minute wait? Why not hire a couple more servers and utilize upstairs to serve food especially on weekends. There were over 20 guest at bar and only one bartender so getting a drink took over 15 minutes and the manager saw this and instead of helping or getting another bartender the poor Lady who was struggling making drinks tried very hard to accommodate guest but it was very slow service. The pitcher of Sangria was ok nothing to brag about. As we were finally seated downstairs we were welcomed by a very friendly and helpful waitress. We started with appetizers and they were all delicious especially the shrimps in Buffalo sauce, the calamari were to small but had a great taste. I ordered the fish tacos which was one of there recommended dishes but I will pass very small portion and very plain and tasteless, my wife ordered the steak sandwich and this plate was very good from the quality of the steak to their delicious signiture fries, my friend ordered the ribs and french fries and this plate was a homerun the beef was tender and came right off the bone taste was great and my daughter ordered the macaroni and cheese burger which was an interesting concept instead of using regular buns for burgers it was instead macaroni and cheese fried in a round bun like shape the presentation was great but the taste wasn't. The macaroni used on burger had absolutely no taste and you couldn't even taste the cheese in macaroni although the meat in the burger was very good. From 1 to 10 I give this place a 7. I recommend just getting a whole lot of their delicious appetizers and for entree either a steak sandwich or ribs. This place is a good spot to have drinks and appetizers at bar. Desserts were horrible I do not recommend eating desserts it looked like they were done by a 3 year old with a poor presentation they should be ashamed of themselves charging for such sloppy desserts. With a bit of help i think this place can survive. Good luck Blu Alehouse your gonna need it.

Was there yesterday for three first time. They just opened on 7/25/16
Absolutely beautiful inside and out! Huge beer selection, super friendly bartenders and great food! I had Mahi Mahi tacos that were delicious, the tortilla shell was homemade fresh, thin and slightly crispy.
The yellow rice was also delicious, it didn't have any MSG or other artificial flavor enhancers, just
Wholesome good flavor! My husband had a steak sandwich with the best tasting French fries I have ever had.
