We had the chocolate shake and 2 burgers - everything was fantastic. The shake was one of the best I've had and the burgers didn't fall far behind - even the turkey one delivered. Very good pricing for what you get too, highly recommend for takeaway!

A small burger joint where you can get a good quality burger for a deal. The menus and designs of the place are quirky and tongue in check. However, there's not enough seating and worse yet, no restroom.

I really wanted to like this place. But the reality fell short. Unlike the other hamburger close by with a name that also starts with "black", this place aims for the affordable, high volume output. The main problem I had with this burger was that they claim they're never frozen, but that's what the burger patty tasted like. It was dense and not cumbly. So kind of more like a fastfood burger. The color was more grayish than anything. And it hardly had any taste in my opinion. There was nothing special about the bun either. Overall, it reminded me almost of my elementary school lunch burger. Not a pleasant memory. Their fries (curly, seasoned) were good and there was a good amount. I'm always pulling for the small, underdog places that put out solid, affordable food so I'll try this place again to see maybe if it were just an off day. Note the place is really small (e.g., ~5 stools) and so much more suitable for takeaway (especially in the summer since it's all open air with no AC).

It seriously pains me to give only three stars to City Winery. My experiences the first couple of times I've been here made me write glowing reviews for them elsewhere, but the experience I had there this past Wednesday was extremely disappointing. Came here to see the incredible Ann Wilson. If it wasn't for her, my company and I would have had an extremely miserable time. The show was @ 9 and there was a previous show before ours. Seems like City Winery can't handle two back to back sold out shows. We were supposed to be able to go in @ 9 but they were scattering about inside and had us waiting outside for a while. The seating is pretty terrible. The best view/seats in the house is the bar stool next to the staircase on one of those round tables. Excellent view with a lot of freedom. I've always sat there but this time we had the "VIP" table. VIP?? Those tables are the worst. Have to crane your neck to see the stage. Super cramped. Stay away from the floor seating, VIP seating and any kind of actual table seating. Their tables are made for two people but they cram 4 seats to one table. My VIP table consisted of me, my brother and sister-in-law and a stranger. Super awkward and physically uncomfortable. Our waitress for the night at first seemed very pleasant and nice. Took our drink and food order. Drinks came out quick. Our Buffalo Mozzarella flatbread came out nice and quick. Hot and absolutely delicious. I don't have any complaints about the food or drink because I find them all stupendous. Although they don't have many vegetarian/vegan options which is kind of annoying. What happened afterwards was the worst. The show started, still didn't get our food. Observed almost every table get their dinner while we just waited and enjoyed Ann Wilson. The show was almost over and we still didn't get our food. A totally different waiter brought us over more flatbreads. We explained that we already had ours and he looked puzzled. Our waitress came out and asked us if we received our flatbread. I told her we got it almost two hours ago. She didn't even address where our actual dinner was! You know when we got our dinner? When Ann Wilson finished her set and walked off stage! After 11 PM!! Lights weren't even on so I could barely see what I was eating and had to ask the waiter if my dish was in fact the Crispy Sweet Chili Tofu. We complained about receiving our dinner at such an absurd time/moment and they had nothing at all to say. Well okay City Winery! Great way to show how you appreciate your customers who shelled out a lot of money. So there we were, after 11, eating dinner, watching all of the other patrons leave. Seriously ridiculous. Then the freaking nerve of the manager, or whoever this idiot was, to come over to us and say we have 15 minutes left and then we have to leave. What the f*%k????? You just gave us our dinner and now you're telling us, when it is clearly your fault, that we have 15 minutes to scarf down our food? I wasn't a happy camper that night, for sure. They didn't apologize or comp us or anything. Not cool at all. They had someone going around with samples of their Ann Wilson house made wine. Everyone but the VIP tables got samples. We got screwed left and right that night. City Winery, you were a complete hot mess that night. I don't appreciate how you treated me but alas, I might be back again if another one of my favorite artists play here.

Unbelievably inexpensive for TriBeCa and really tasty food. Curly fries were huge (should've shared one order) and the milkshake was freshly made with- gasp- real ice cream. Recommend, but be warned there's only about 8 seats inside.
