Bergen County Housing Authority

I am a 2 time cancer survivor and was unable to work for more than 2yrs. After being discharged from the hospital. a Bergen county TRA/Emergency housing worker came to my home with HABC paperwork and she stated " a few section 8 vouchers have become available and you were the first person I thought about" about 1 month later, I contacted this worker because I had heard NOTHING from her. I learned that she was away on Vacation for more than (3) weeks. Finally, I went into her office to be told that there was a (2) week deadline to turn in all the documents to HABC, due to her absence and no one covering for her. I lost out on the Section 8 voucher.. I have reported this to the HABC director. to date I have not gotten a response. So, I will be amoung the homeless population in March 2015,. Thanks to the ABSOLUTE NEGLEGENCE OF THIS AGENCY! I DID NOT ASK FOR CANCER TO INVADE MY BODY. IM A 51 YEAR OLD GRANDMOTHER WHOM HAS WORKED AND PAID TAXES EACH YEAR OF MY LIFE. THIS IS REALLY SAD! THAT HABC HAS MIS APPROPRIATED MILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO FUND THIS AGENCY AND ASSIST PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF ON THE VERGE OF HOMELESSNES. TO FUND THIER OWN POLITICAL AGENDAS. SHAME ON YOU BERGEN COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY!

Even another corrupt Bergen County government agency that is under the rule of the corrupt Bergen County GOP corrupt Kathleen Donovan. She destroyed the long known BCHA by placing numerous unqualified political hacks into the organization. Sadly the services have been destoyed under Donovan. It seems the only thing the BCHA is send out paychecks to high paid political Bergen Republican hacks.
