This Saturday my family and I went for dinner a Ben's in Greenvale. We are from Huntington and we go to the Ben's in Woodbury. The food was fine but the portions were very small, nothing like we get in Woodbury.
My sons portion was the same size as his sons which was a kids meal. The same for my wife's and my daughter in laws. They had to get back to NJ so we had no time to find the manager.
I always get the combo. which usually has has about about 2/3 of a lb of meat this was not even close. Also where were the fries, they were maybe 6 or 7 on each plate. Very very disapp.onted

I would give this food establishment 0 stars if I could.
I had been to Ben's in the past and I can honestly tell you that their matzoh ball soup & their latkes are nothing special at all, but this is not the reason for my negative review.
I was denied service at this "deli" about five months back because I had just came from Starbucks and had brought in my tea in with me. The young lady rudely told me that I could not even STAND in the restaurant because my plain tea, which WAS kosher as I had showed the hostess the exact teabag that was used, was OFFENSIVE to bring into a kosher restaurant. I most definitely won't ever be going back

I'm happy to give a wonderful review to Bens and especially to Ray the cashier who helped me with what I consider an unusual request;
I wanted to order take out for my Mom and two sisters who were in the Emergency Room at North Shore Hospital waiting for a hospital bed to open for my Mom;
I called many restaurants closer by with little result; no one was helpful, encouraging, not even nice.
Ray, was great! Ben's has always been a favorite of mine, but I didn't ever think they would deliver for me. I will always be grateful to the care I received.

The London broil was supposed to be excellent, as per chef. The best I can say about it is, "ehhh." and "never again!"
