Went to eat here when chuko was packed, so the hostess from chuko directed us to bar chuko. We love the original chuko, but frankly the food at bar chuko sucked. The waitstaff was attentive and the restaurant ambiance was nice, but the food itself was not tasty, took long to arrive (questionable especially when the place was half empty), and portion of the plates are laughable. My 9 year old who had finished the bowl of chicken bone ramen was still hungry. Cost $120 for family of four (2 kids) Last time we go to bar chuko. Just go to original chuko or also much better places in Manhattan.
