The service is very poor. We made an appointment online and despite the confirmation call we were not not in the system. They were unwilling to see us. The receptionist joe didnt really make any eye contact with us or shoe much interest in our problem. This isnt the first time we have had issues with their reservations system as you end up waiting 2 hours even if you were scheduled in. Avoid if possible.

This isn't going to be a blind, rage-filled rant... just a statement of fact: My husband and I have been bringing our three cats to Banfield Secaucus for almost 8 years now but, unfortunately, after today's experience, will not be returning.

We have seen this place go through a lot of "phases" over the years and experienced a range of customer service quality from excellent to "oh boy..." There was always an underlying feeling that my pets were going to be taken care of, however. Based on today, I'm not sure that's the case any longer. After waiting over an hour to be seen, (for a pre-scheduled appointment) my cat and I were rushed in and out in under 10 minutes. The physician on duty looked terribly overworked, stressed and- I am convinced- would not have even known my pet's name if he hadn't had a nurse by his side to read the chart. I had to tell him her age and critical health info, (this wasn't a new intake, mind you, but a patient of *8 years*). I want to stress that the doctor did not seem UNCARING, just... unable to retain much of anything after seeing an assembly line of animals for the past 3 hours. I don't blame him. I'd be extremely punch drunk by that point as well.

One receptionist at the desk was as friendly as possible, given the stream of complaints I could almost guarantee she'd been facing. The other receptionist offered us a bottle of water, but when I asked how much longer (our wait was up to 45 minutes by that point) I was essentially told she had no idea. The level to which they seemed to be understaffed was painfully clear at that point.

I sincerely hope someone in charge evaluates staffing and customer experience soon and makes some major changes. I don't lightly leave any place with which I have a longstanding relationship, but at this point, my four-footed family's health has to take priority.

If you love your pet please avoid at all costs. Took my cat there two weeks ago for a UTI we saw Dr. Mui Douglas she was more concerned about telling us about how she takes care of her cats then actually taking care of mine. The receptionist is cold and look at your pet as another dollar sign. We brought him back yesterday because he was unable to urinate and the Dr yousef told us he was blocked and needed a catheter immediately. We had already paid $123 the first visit and another $43 the second and that's with the garbage insurance they have. Then yesterday we had to pay $853 for the catheter. Woke up at 4am to him in pain and the catheter no longer filling. So me and my wife rushed him to Oradell Animal Hospital. They told us the catheter had a kink in it that's why it wasn't draining an more. Paid them $170 for an emergency visit left to go back to banfield decided I don't want to deal with them anymore turned back to Oradell and made another visit. They saw him told us everything we needed to do to help him get better. They didn't charge us for the second visit and the DR. removed his stich es and IV and gave us a medication to give him that cost $23. So if you don't really care about your pet take them to the puppy mill vet but if you do care go to a real vet wether it's Oradell or any other vet office.

The worst experience I ever had.. My 5 month cat was taking inside telling me they were going to weight him again, without me they attempted to take him out the carrier without me.. I heard him screaming and they came out telling me he was aggressive. he was bleeding from his mouth ..and the vet which I had never met cause she never came out and introduce herself, told me he was biting a blanket and one of his baby molars came out. they didn't care about my cat or me.. she only told me they will not take care of him because It was against hospital policy to care for AGRESSIVE PETS. (I had taken my kitten to other Vets and he never reacted that way .. and he is up to date with his vaccines) I don't even know what happen on the other side of the wall ... he had to came out with two leashes around his neck, full of blood .. as I was leaving I went back in and asked.. what should I give him for the pain or the bleeding .. and they say nothing ..
