I picked this location for the convenience, and it was great. I got the car I wanted in a timely manner and the staff were helpful and friendly. No complaints.
The prices here are steep, but not atypical for Manhattan; for longer trips it might be worth renting elsewhere. But the time and effort of getting to JFK, EWR or LGA, plus the money saved on a car of questionable maintenance status, is just not worth it for getting out for the weekend. I would definitely come back to this Avis for future weekend trips.

Completely satisfied.
The only confusing thing was that the drop-off location had a sign "Budget returns" but said nothing about Avis, so I looped around to look for the Avis return before I figured out that it was operated by Budget.

Had a great experience at the NYC 64th Street rental location. Hans F assisted in redeeming my vouchers, and was very pleasant and accommodating. With a long trip ahead of us, he made me feel secure in the van rental and got us off without a hitch. The other gentlemen that evening were also helpful and very nice. The van itself ran without any problems, even in the dicey weather we encountered driving through Michigan.
Would definitely rent from them again!
